Kamari Mcgee Kamari Mcgee 6'0" | PG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State WI (6′ 2021 PG, Wisconsin PGC 17u)- Arguably the top point guard performer on the Prep Hoops Circuit this summer, Kamari was consistently performing at a high level for Wisconsin Playground. A lightning quick floor general who provides constant energy, Kamari was making plays happen on both ends of the floor. McGee was aggressive using his quickness to blow by defenders where he was then able to show off his impressive lay-up package around the rim. Add in high caliber defense that led to countless forced turnovers, and a consistent three point shot, and Kamari had a big time AAU season.
Jameer Barker Jameer Barker 6'2" | SG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State WI (6’2 2021 SG, Wisconsin Sharks 17u)- A teammate of Kamari’s at Racine St. Catherine’s, Jameer Barker Jameer Barker 6'2" | SG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State WI put together a strong summer of his own. A dominant wing scorer who can beat you inside or out, Jameer was a constant threat when he had the ball in his hands. A college prospect on the football field as well, Jameer simply had the strength to bully opponents around the rim to finish through contact, while also possessing an accurate shot from beyond the arc. Jameer also impressed with his improvements in creating space for his jumper off the dribble.
Danny Kniep Danny Kniep 6'5" | PF Burlington | 2023 WI (6’5 2023 F, JH1 Elite 15u)- Playing for an extremely balanced JH1 Elite squad, Danny wasn’t able to put up huge numbers but still made his presence felt with his efficient scoring. Hovering around the 6’5/6’6 range, Danny was typically one of the biggest players on the floor at the 15u level, and brings in some advanced footwork for a post prospect of his age. Add in a soft touch around the rim with either hand, and Danny was hard to stop when isolated on the block.
Antuan Nesbitt Antuan Nesbitt 6'4" | SF Racine | 2021 State WI (6’4 2021 W, Wisconsin Sharks 17u)- Also playing with Movement Hoops Elite and World Hoops Elite , Antuan Nesbitt Antuan Nesbitt 6'4" | SF Racine | 2021 State WI was consistently performing at a high level this summer. One of the most versatile players in the 2021 class, he saw some time handling the ball while also playing on the wing at times. The 6’4 Swiss army knife showed off his ability to put up big scoring numbers finishing around the rim and knocking down the three ball, while also excelling in his ability to kick the ball out to open shooters after penetrating. Defensively Antuan was able to guard almost every spot on the floor, and used his long arms to block shots and jump passing lanes to create turnovers.
Dontrell Bush Dontrell Bush 6'1" | SG Racine Horlick | 2022 WI (6’2 2022 CG, Wisconsin RAP 16u)- Part of a talented trio of guards for Wisconsin RAP, Dontrell showed some promising flashes of potential on both ends of the floor. Bush is a crafty player getting to the rim who is able to utilize a euro-step and other nifty footwork to maneuver his way to the rim. In transition he uses his speed to beat defenders up the floor, and has the explosiveness to finish above the rim. Bush can create his own shot with ease, and if he can knock down his jumper more consistently, he’ll be a dangerous player moving forward.
Kody Krekling Kody Krekling 6'3" | SG The Prairie School | 2021 State WI (6’3 2021 W, Wisconsin Sharks 17u)- This summer Kody Krekling Kody Krekling 6'3" | SG The Prairie School | 2021 State WI proved to be a 3 and D prospect that Division 3 coaches will want to keep an eye on. At 6’3 he possesses solid size on the wing, and combines that with a strong frame and some explosiveness around the rim. Offensively he excelled in his role as a spot up shooter, knocking down his catch-and-shoot threes at a high rate. Defensively it was rare to see a game where Kody didn’t draw one or two charges, sitting in a stance and providing all out effort to slide his feet and put himself into good positions to win the defensive battle.
Ashe Oglesby Ashe Oglesby 6'6" | PF The Prairie School | 2023 State WI (6’6 2023 F, Wisconsin Sharks 17u)- One of the state’s top 2023 forward prospects at this stage of his development, Ashe saw time at the 17u level as well as with Wisconsin Playground Club’s 15u team. At the 17u level Ashe was able to compete and produce in the paint, using his strong frame and soft touch around the rim to make the most of his opportunities. Playing at the 15u level he was able to show off his complete game. Ashe was capable of handling the ball in transition and pushing the tempo, and threw down two fast break dunks in the game I saw. He also showed off some impressive passing vision, and the ability to both shoot from the wing, and attack off the dribble.
