Continue ReadingIn an effort to provide new and unique ways to cover prospects, we thought it would be important to give some coverage to those that might not always get it. To do that, we will be digging deep into each conference in the state.
We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.
Connor Drew Connor Drew 6'6" | PF Ballard | 2021 State IA – Ballard
At 6-foot-6 and coming off a junior campaign in which he scored 493 points with 203 rebounds, college coaches should definitely know about Ballard’s Connor Drew Connor Drew 6'6" | PF Ballard | 2021 State IA .
Drew posted over 18 points and 7.5 rebounds a game, shooting 52 percent from the field, 40 percent from the three-point line and 70 percent at the free throw stripe. He also had 50 assists, 26 steals and blocked 21 shots.
Nathan Mueller – Adel-ADM
A national track and cross country standout, Nathan Mueller shined on the basketball court last year for Adel-ADM as well.
Mueller scored 318 points with 115 assists, 74 rebounds and 37 steals. He knocked down almost 42 percent of his field goal attempts, sank 39 three-pointers and was nearly automatic at the free throw line, making 61 of 76 attempts.
Braden Miller – Bondurant-Farrar
Bondurant-Farrar will rely on Class of 2021 forward Braden Miller this coming winter.
Miller produced 217 points with 106 rebounds, 49 assists and 26 steals a year ago. He made over 53 percent of his shots for the Bluejays.
Tate Stine-Smith Tate Stine-Smith 6'0" | SF ADM | 2021 State IA – Adel-ADM
A big name and a big game follow Adel-ADM’s Tate Stine-Smith Tate Stine-Smith 6'0" | SF ADM | 2021 State IA .
Stine-Smith scored 204 points with 103 rebounds, 48 assists and 29 steals a year ago, shooting 49 percent from the floor, 38 percent from deep and 61 percent at the charity stripe.
He is also a standout on the football field, having earned all-state honors last year.
Mason Murphy Mason Murphy 5'9" | PG Ballard | 2021 State IA – Ballard
The distributor for Ballard is Class of 2021 guard Mason Murphy Mason Murphy 5'9" | PG Ballard | 2021 State IA .
Last year, Murphy found himself a scorer for the team, recording 194 points. But he also shined in getting the ball to the open Bomber, dishing out 147 assists with just 64 turnovers.
Murphy added 43 rebounds and 33 steals, shooting 39 percent from the field for the Raccoon River Conference champions.
