Nathan Thompson Nathan Thompson 6'4" | SF Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham – 2021)
Thompson is a small forward with positional size. He played with tremendous energy on Tuesday night. Was all over the defensive glass starting the break and getting second chance points on put backs. Was also effective as a scorer draining an array of threes especially from the top of the key. Took it off the bounce a few times as well including a sweet euro step.
Joe Melton Joe Melton 6'6" | C Ncoe | 2021 State IL (Norris City Omaha Enfield – 2021)
Continue to say this is the biggest sleeper post in the class. The 6’7” four man is a plus athlete with skill. He hit a three, went coast to coast for an explosive dunk, and got on the offensive glass. If Melton was in the Chicago suburbs he would have D2s on him more actively.
Parker Wolfe Parker Wolfe 5'11" | PG Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham – 2021)
Effingham has a stellar 2021 group and Wolfe is the leader at the point. He was about as on fire as we have seen him drilling four triples in a row to start his evening out. The lefty lead guard is a lights out spot up shooter that also runs into them. Threw a full court outlet on the money. Had a steal that he ended up throwing off the backboard to a teammate for a jam. Crafty game around the hoop for scoop shots.
Noah Livingston Noah Livingston 6'1" | PG Casey Westfield | 2021 State IL (Casey Westfield – 2021)
Livingston is a combo guard that can really shoot it from beyond the arc. He did just that on Tuesday drilling triples at a high rate. Crisp and easy shot mechanically. Also had a strong baseline take. Rebounded pretty well.
Landon Zurliene Landon Zurliene 6'4" | SG Fairfield | 2021 State IL (Fairfield – 2021)
The Fairfield wing is a skilled prospect that is improving athletically. He is more comfortable playing with the ball in his hands. Got to the cup for a runner, threw down an explosive dunk, and hit a deep three. Contested shots on the perimeter defensively.
Justin King Justin King 6'4" | PG Mascoutah | 2022 State IL (Mascoutah – 2022)
King is the top prospect at the event. The rising junior has a lot of projectability in his game. He wasn’t dominant by any means, but he flashed the potential that makes him a D1 prospect. Slick ball handler which was shown on a take where he went through the defense blowing past them for a layup. Got to the rim for another layup as well as drawing defenders before kicking to a shooter. Hit a pull up jumper of his own off the bounce.
Chase Travis Chase Travis 6'2" | SG Olney | 2022 State IL (Olney – 2022)
Long and rangy 6’5” small forward that played with a high activity level in his game. Started things off with a sweet pass out of the post to a cutter. Got to the rim several times for nifty layups. Also recovered for a LeBron come from behind block.
Dylan Harkins (Mt. Vernon – 2021)
Harkins continues to knock down shots. The Mt. Vernon lead guard drilled mid-range jumpers and corner threes en route to a nice night. Also had an impressive open court bullet pass for a dime.
