6-1 PG Jamichael Davis – We Get Buckets – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe
An athletic guard that thrives in transition, Jamichael Davis showed flashes of his upside on both sides of the ball. He’s a quick defender that can stay in front of ball handlers and on offense, he turns the corner in the blink of an eye and rises up to finish at the rim. He should be one of the more exciting players in North Georgia’s Region 6-AAA.
6-2 SG Brent Bowman Brent Bowman 6'3" | SG Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe | 2023 State GA – We Get Buckets – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe
Bowman has polish, confidence and a little bit of swagger to his game. He’s dangerous in the triple threat position, able to pull from three without hesitation and also capable of slicing his way into the lane and drawing fouls. His effort on defense was impressive when his shot wasn’t falling early on. He stays engaged on both ends and has a bright future ahead as a multidimensional scorer.
6-2 C Nathan Rodriguez Nathan Rodriguez 6'3" | C North Paulding | 2023 State GA – NME – North Paulding (Pictured)
A bulldozer on the low block with finesse footwork, Nathan Rodriguez Nathan Rodriguez 6'3" | C North Paulding | 2023 State GA is one of the best low block scorers in his class. A true back-to-the-basket post, Rodriguez scores on hook shots, up-and-unders and much more. His nimble feet along with great hands allow him to score against size at an efficient rate.
5-8 PG BJ Brown – NME – Harrison
BJ Brown is a quick, shifty playmaker that always keeps his head up when probing the defense. He’s got an advanced court vision and has enough zip on his passes to fit in assists in tight quarters. Brown’s got active hands that lead to deflections and steals. He looks like a very good lead guard in the near future.
5-11 G Caleb Taylor – Atlanta Astros – Cedar Grove
Taylor aggressively attacks the basket which opens up opportunities from beyond the arc. He’s got a good motor and provides effort on the glass and when defending on-ball. When he gets into the paint, he can really hurt a defense.
5-11 PG Brandon Rechsteiner – Atlanta Xpress – Etowah
Brandon Rechsteiner is a smooth guard that can light up defenses from deep. He does a good job of surveying the defense and knows when to attack and when to set up teammates. He drops in pretty floaters and can even score with his back to the basket. Rechsteiner is going to be a handful by the time he is a senior. Expect him to win a ton of games alongside Mason Etter Mason Etter 6'5" | SF Etowah | 2023 State GA at Etowah.
5-11 PG Joseph Edwards – Atlanta Xpress – Campbell
Able to both score and create for others, Joseph Edwards is a reliable playmaker that can play both on and off the ball. He’s got a nice mid-range jumper. Edwards can push the tempo in transition and makes good decisions with the ball. Defensively, he’s got nice length for his size and anticipates passes well.
6-2 W Marcus Whitlock – JC Ducks – Jasper County
Springy. Bouncy. Whatever you want to call it, MJ Whitlock is a terrific leaper. The thin guard gets off the ground and rises above his pears in an effortless motion. His great athleticism allows him to crash the glass hard and make plays defensively. With some more refining of his game, Whitlock could become an interesting prospect.
