The 17u divisions of several Georgia-based AAU events featured some top talent and several long-term prospects to keep an eye on. The players listed here are reflective of this weekend in a vacuum. Who did well during this tiny, albeit revealing sample of games?
First Team
SF Matthew Schneider
MatthewSchneider6'5" | CGSiegel | 2021StateTN - PSB-Nashville Beasley
Saturday morning, Schneider scored 24 in a win over TNBA, including 8 made free throws. It is wonderful to see the Siegel Star star find an AAU home that showcases all he has to give. Incidentally, three teammates were asked who lead them and Matt was unanimously mentioned. Coaches saw it too. How could they not? Hopefully, this pushes his name onto more college priority lists.
SG Grant Slatten
GrantSlatten6'5" | SGWhite County | 2021StateTN - EAB 3SSB
Grant was grand. Again.
SG Isaiah Jones
IsaiahJones6'8" | SFArlington | 2021StateTN- Tennessee Blazers
Isaiah hopped around a few AAU programs this summer, by necessity, after NIKE shelved Team Thad EYBL, but found a home with the newly formed Tebnessee Blazers (merging of Team West TN and West Tenn Flames). Jones again put his skills on film for the deciders.

Collin Gore
CollinGore5'11" | PGUpperman | 2021StateTN - Tennessee Tigers
Demonstrated once again his plus-plus shooting. In July, Gore thrived as the primary ball-handler for the Tigers at an event. Beyond establishing his capacity to break pressure and feed the shooters, Gore stamped his passport with another successful visit to Three-Point Land.

PJ Smith
PJSmith5'11" | PGGoodpasture | 2021StateTN - Pro One Select
PJ knocked down 7 three-pointers Sunday afternoon against Hype Hawks-KP, en route to a 33 point scoring game. The point guard also tugged down 9 rebounds in that same game.

Ametri Moss
AmetriMoss6'0" | PGClarksville Northwest | 2021StateTN (#1) - So smooth. He delivered an up-fake and took two steps in to the free throw line before calmly burying a pull-up jumper. Silky.
Spencer Mimms (#34) -
Jalen HooksJalenHooks6'4" | SFClarksville Northeast | 2021StateTN (#23)

Meechie BowensMeechieBowens6'0" | SGHoward Tech | 2021StateTN (#12) - Shot selection is terrible.
Kerrick ThorneKerrickThorne6'5" | CGHoward | 2021StateTN (#5) - Steal in the final minute against D Favors.
Toris Woods (#0)
Jailen AndersonJailenAnderson6'1" | PGSouthside | 2021StateTN (#2) - Scored a necessary layup by splitting the defense, down 7 in the final minute against D Favors Saturday morning.
Davis SalleeDavisSallee6'5" | SFUSJ | 2021StateTN (#3) - Gritty. Long arms helped him create deflections and rattle ball-handlers. Excellent helping from the weakside and doubling out high too.
Davon Barnes
DavonBarnes6'5" | SFCollierville | 2021StateTN - Struggled to create his own shot through pull-up. Much more effective hunting and retrieving bounds off offensive glass.
EAB-Jennings Starters vs. Inspire Atlanta Saturday morning 9:20 EST
Zion Swader
ZionSwader6'0" | PGSiegel | 2021StateTN - Gorgeous teardrop floater and he finished with a clatter against his body. No call. Scored 15 points, but missed a wide-open top-of-key three pointer early followed by a well-earned left-handed layup. His handles and first-step quickness enabled him to get into dangerous pockets, but he didn’t finish that particular play off like he could. Elite change of pace. Love his ability to breakdown a defender in the open floor.
Jordan DeWalt - Scored 10 points. Effortless pirouette-dribble into a lefty layup. Earned his way to the free throw line four times.
Macen Redner
MacenRedner6'1" | PGBrentwood | 2021StateTN - Bulked up tremendously in the last year. Better on-ball defender with added heft. He was always a solid shooter and continues to knock down both open and challenged triples.
Dustin Bluhm
Griffin Burke
E.J. Nesbitt (2022) - Not capable of keeping pace with the flow of traffic. He was asked to defend the paint some and just didn’t react fast enough to the quickly moving basketball deflections and caroms.
Kobe Parker - Loves to leap. Made the extra pass to Bluhm, when he looked at a manageable 3’ shot.
