Ty Robinson Ty Robinson 6'5" | SF Eaglecrest | 2021 State CO – Jazz
Ty has come on as of late, and when you watch him, you see exactly what separates him from the rest of the pack as he is a smooth scorer that does not make many mistakes. Robinson allows the game to come to him, and although he is serene and calm by nature, he makes impactful plays that stand out. On day 3, he went on a run that started with a 3-pointer that gave his team a comfortable lead. He gets up and down the court, and in the open court, he is a hassle to corral as he is a solid finisher around the rim and is liable of going up for a highlight dunk. Robinson is one of the most consistent players in the league, and it was another day that he showed it.
Michael Wolf Michael Wolf 6'0" | PG Regis Jesuit | 2021 State CO – Jazz
Wolf’s confidence is sky-high right now, and when he is in a groove like this, he is a difficult player to slow down. He is a triple threat option as he is now showcasing his ability to play defense. He has always been a top-notch scorer that could get his shot off against anyone, but now he is able to defend, shoot as well as get to the rim and when he is doing that it is softening the defense because he is dishing it out or doing what he is most comfortable with and that is scoring. On day 3, Wolf was slicing through the defense and also coming off of screens and shooting the 3. Wolf has impressive body control and an improved handled. Wolf has played well as of late and setting himself up for a big year. Solid Day 3 for him.
Wade Jones Wade Jones 6'5" | CG Cheyenne Mountain | 2021 State CO – Jazz
Jones is a player that is difficult to gauge, and that is what makes him most dangerous. Jones is a playmaking guard that creates chaos with his ability to slice into the defense, and from there, anything can happen. Jones plays extremely hard at all times and gets positional rebounds that gives his team extra scoring opportunities. On Day 3, Jones was hitting 3-pointers and showing that he could score in bunches. Once he gets started, it is tough to slow him down. He is also very active on defense and is a pretty good on-ball defender. Jones is a player to watch.
Brayden Carter Brayden Carter 6'8" | PF Seiling Ok | 2021 State CO – Blazers
This was the best scoring day that I have seen regarding Brayden Carter Brayden Carter 6'8" | PF Seiling Ok | 2021 State CO as he demanded the basketball and was very active around the rim. Carter has a great understanding of the game and is a versatile forward that can play both inside and out. He finishes with both hands around the rim, and also went on mini-spurts of his own to keep his team in the game. Carter rebounded the ball exceptionally well and also had the highlight play of the night, which was a put-back dunk with multiple defenders under the rim. Carter continues to rise for me, which is shocking because he does it all within the flow of the offense, and that is with creating on his own.
Eddie Kurjak Eddie Kurjak 6'8" | PF Longmont | 2021 State CO – Suns
Kurjak is a player that has such a balanced game, and his athleticism makes up for so many other parts of his game. Even when he is not scoring the basketball, he is impacting it in different ways, but in this game, it was one of his best scoring games that I have seen from him. Kurjak was getting to the rim and finishing, he was timing rebounds and going up, and his teammates were making sure that he got the ball. Kurjak already changes the games with his mobility and defense, but for him to also score the basketball as well makes him a more interesting player to watch.
Amondo Miller Amondo Miller 6'6" | CG Valor Christian | 2021 State CO – Warriors
Miller has been a refreshing player to watch this summer, and it has extended into the Pangos league because it is more games to see him in, and he has been one of the highlight players of the summer for me as he seems to do whatever it is he wants. There is no slowing him down when he makes up his mind to get to the rim, and on Day 3, it was either a basket or a free throw attempt. He also continues to hit 3-pointers, and that is a scary sight as it forces the defense to guess and defend him a bit differently. He was getting out on breaks and finishing, and there were dunks, and honestly, I am unsure there is another guard that gets to the rim as easy as Miller. He has good size for a guard, and that causes mismatches. He was throwing highlight outlet passes for easy scoring opportunities and is fully productive, and if there was an MVP on the day on the day, he is who I would choose as he had a day high 24 points.
