Oklahoma State Tournament: Top Rebounders
This past weekend was filled with great talent at the Oklahoma State Tournament in Oklahoma City. These were the top rebounders that I was able to see as the weekend went on. I primarily focused on the 17u division.
Kyler Mann Kyler Mann 6'4" | SF Owasso | 2021 State OK 2021 (PWP) Forward
Mann was all over the glass this past weekend and was able to use his length to chase down rebounds both on the offensive and defensive side of the floor. The forward was constantly coming down with boards and pushing the ball ahead to his teammates or even dribbling up the floor himself. Mann can get easy buckets off offensive boards and also gave his team many extra possessions. He is a very mobile forward that is a competitive defensive player and can get the job done for his team. Vernon Durant 2021 (Drive Nation OK) Forward
Durant is an aggressive rebounder that has great length. He is a competitor that brings a ton of energy to every play that happens on the floor. His athleticism helped him pull down some tough boards that other plays weren’t able to get too. Durant helped his team win the whole tournament this past weekend.
Jacob Mills Jacob Mills 6'6" | C Coweta | 2021 State OK 2021 (Tulsa Hawks Elite) Forward
Mills is a double-double machine. He is someone that was able to be a threat on the glass on both ends of the floor due to his size and strength. Even when Mills didn’t have the best positioning as the shot went up, he still managed to come down with many rebounds and get his team more opportunities to put points on the board.
Abraham Aghasedo 2021 (Oklahoma Power) Forward
Aghasedo is a tenacious rebounder that is always hunting down the ball. He has the strength to come down with any board that comes off the rim and can go right back up and finish. Aghasedo was able to box out his opponents and hardly ever give up a rebound. He had a great showing this past weekend and helped his team get to the championship game.
