The tournament consisted of every type of basketball prospect from top-notch scorers to 3-point specialist. Here we take a look at the most outstanding performers that really stood out, took over, and made a huge impact on their teams and the game.
Bryce Griggs – Point Guard – TJ Ford Basketball – San Ysidro High School – C/o 2022All-around PG, with terrific scoring instincts and abilities, excellent speed and quickness, elite handles, great vision, and accuracy when dishing the ball out, he can make any pass on the court, if you’re open he’s going to find you, no matter where you are. Bryce Griggs dropped dimes all game, leaving no debate on who the best playmaker in the building was. He got into the lane over and over again seemingly easy, his game was as smooth as butter. His handles are on another level, he even looked unguardable at times. Consistently showed offensive genius with the way he created open shots for himself. Bryce lit the scoreboard up for 29 points and had double-digit assists, Griggs was a marvel to watch out there and by far the best player I’ve seen all summer. The kid is a student of the game, by watching him, it’s clear that he works hard on mastering his craft; I can’t quite point my finger on it, but something is really different about Bryce Griggs.

had been destroying the competition and having breakout summer. I finally got the chance to see what all the hype was about and he did not disappoint, he’s a flat out baller.
Complete point guard, Pedulla posses all the tools needed to be successful at his position on the next level. He’s gritty, athletic, can score, is a gifted ball-handler, and has high-level court vision. Very accurate passer even when throwing over the top on the defense into the paint. This elite guard also displayed phenomenal footwork, Sean uses several pivot moves, head fakes, and jab steps to create space inside the arc. Good deep range shooter, nice form and can really become problematic from outside once he starts feeling it. In the championship game, he put the team on his back with his defense and scoring to help get the win over PB Nation. On the defensive side of the ball, Pedulla played solid defense, a willing defender who preferred to pick his man up full court.

had a tough matchup in the biggest game, but he stepped up to the challenge and came out victorious, you can’t help but love his confidence, competitiveness, and passion for the game.
Jimel Cofer Jimel Cofer 6'4" | CG Universal Academy | 2021 State TX – Guard – Team F.O.E. Elite 17U – Universal Academy – C/o 2021Explosive lefty, with some of the best scoring instincts and abilities in the gym. Jimel Cofer Jimel Cofer 6'4" | CG Universal Academy | 2021 State TX is the type of player that just needs one shot to fall for him to get hot. Nasty hesitation and crossover moves when looking for separation for his pull-up jumper and a first-step so quick he can blow-by most defenders to the basket. This guard’s athleticism was noticeable, Cofer got up so high on his layups that he could’ve thrown a few of them down. Jimel doesn’t get tired either, he would play the entire game and never look like he needed a break. Jimel Cofer Jimel Cofer 6'4" | CG Universal Academy | 2021 State TX proved himself as a high-level scorer with the way he put points on the boards and carried the scoring load for F.O.E. in each game.
Javen Hutton – Guard – PB Nation – Arlington High School – C/o 2021Javen Hutton is a true bucket getter with good scoring abilities that allow him to score in bunches. Hutton came ready to put on a show, he was on fire, knocking down his three-point attempts, and getting to basket at will. He has a nice jump shot, doesn’t get his shot blocked due to his elevation and release angle. A very athletic point guard who understands how to use his athleticism to his advantage on both ends of the court, Hutton did a great job of using his athleticism to get rebounds and start the break, and he even had a play where he blocked a shot off the backboard; he plays much bigger than his height. Defensively, he’s a relentless, competitive defender who looked locked in and focused every play on defense. Javen was in refuse to lose mode, getting after it his defensive assignment by blocking shots, ripping ball-handlers, and staying locked in. Hutton had a tough matchup against one of Oklahoma’s top prospects, he went right at him and didn’t back down or show any fear. Javen Hutton left this weekend as not only one of the top performers, but also one of the biggest stock risers as well.
Dylan Mckeon – Guard – Team F.O.E. 17U White – Sachse High School – C/o 2021Mckeon was the top bucket getter for his team out there, Dylan showcased his killer instinct by having an outstanding performance where he dropped 26 points on the Houston Raptors, scoring 11 of those points in the second-half when his team needed him the most. Solid handles, consistently looked to get his man leaning before putting up a shot or trying to blow by them. Dylan’s knack for getting to the basket and scoring amongst the trees was highly impressive. Everything the offense did ran through Dylan Mckeon, he played on and off the ball, and proved to be a reliable shooter that didn’t take bad shots.
