Xavier Amos Xavier Amos 6'7" | PF Whitney Young | 2022 State #233 Nation IL (Illinois Stars)
Amos was one of the prospects we were most looking forward to seeing at Midwest Collision. The 6’7” broad shouldered and athletic four man didn’t play very much on a loaded Whitney Young team last year so we hadn’t seen him in an extended setting since the fall. The physically imposing face up four man uses his elite quickness in the paint for scores inside. Runs the floor tremendously well. Snatched rebounds with aggressiveness. Explosive second jump. Has the chance to develop into a big time defender switching and blocking shots.
Caden Vasko (Team RWA)
Once again Vasko is from across the state line in Indiana, but he was really good in Minnesota so he is worth a mention here. Big time shooting threat especially off the catch. When he gets hot he is lights out! Brings toughness on drives and rebounding from his guard spot.
Jordan Streeter (Illinois Jaguars)
Streeter continues to elevate his stock each time we see him. The 6’6” small forward from Whitney Young is another unknown player as he didn’t play on varsity last year, but is primed to breakout. Plus size and athleticism on the perimeter. Really good defender that can guard multiple spots and had a chase down LBJ block. Offensively he is a problem in transition as a wing finisher running the floor hard. So explosive with his downhill game.
Keynan Davis (Windy City All-Stars)
Davis and his Windy City All-Stars squad were playing up on the 17U level. The Romeoville High School 6’4” two guard came out aggressive and looking to get buckets. Forced some shots early when they weren’t falling, but then got into the mid-range where he utilized a fade away and step back to get things going. Played on the ball quite a bit being able to manipulate the defense off the bounce. Smooth ball handler that flashed as a passer.
Owen McManaman (HIT Select)
This Lyons 6’2” guard lit it up when we saw him with HIT Select. He had it all working including his lethal three point shot. Also mixed in one dribble pull ups, baseline takes, and was crafty converting several drives.
Eli Hofmann ( Archangels )
The Sherrard 5’10” guard is a really good three point shooter that drills them both off the catch and pulling up. Mixed in a few drives for scores.
Ethan Ivan Ethan Ivan 6'7" | PF Batavia | 2022 State IL (HIT)
Ivan is a 6’6” face up four from Batavia that fits the new age power forward position. Very good mid-range shooter, but it was the other things he did that impressed. Made plays off the bounce from the high-post and attacking on the baseline for buckets. Quick moves in the paint and used his athleticism on the glass.
