There’s been plenty of news in the past that foreshadows the chances of not having high school basketball until the new calendar year. With that being said, there have still been a number of events or leagues launched to provide prospects a stage to showcase their talent and earn offers or interest. That was the case over the last seven days as we saw a fair share of news in the Maryland/DC area in relation to recruiting. 


2021 DeMatha/Team Durant guard Jordan HawkinsJordanHawkins6'5" | SFDeMatha | 2021State#44NationMD made his commitment to head coach Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies. The 6-foot-5 guard had plenty of programs hoping he’d choose their school but it was the Huskies who ended up earning his pledge. With good size and length for the off-ball guard position, Hawkins is a proven shooter with range and has also improved with his approach off the bounce. It’s a major win for the program as they continue to build quite the roster under Hurley’s control.
