Brandon Rechsteiner Brandon Rechsteiner 6'0" | PG Etowah | 2023 State #193 Nation GA (PG, 5-11, Etowah) – Advanced skill set for a young PG, has a natural gift for the game and a real understanding of spacing and how to find openings, great vision, doesn’t force the action but because of his skills he’s often a step ahead of teammates and what looks like a turnover was more of a miscommunication, can absolutely stroke it from anywhere and has a ton of confidence from 3-land, great form on his jumper, again possesses a bevy of natural gifts which will be on display as he moves up to the Eagles varsity this winter.
Coen Carr Coen Carr 6'4" | SF Dutchtown | 2023 State #77 Nation GA (SF, 6-4, Dutchtown) – Long and fluid mover, superior athlete who can really rise, nice mid-range game that has potential to expand out further, absolutely terrific out in space on the break, excellent rebounder at both ends, shows the kind of young defensive instincts that could blossom into something special.
David Hansraj David Hansraj 6'0" | CG River Ridge | 2023 State GA (CG, 6-0, River Ridge) – Intriguing game that you can see has so much room for positive growth, can score at all 3 levels, plays bigger than his size, athletic enough to mix it up inside, pretty good handle so he can play either guard spot, good fit for the current RRHS team, can thrive in a supporting role with some solid upper-class talent alongside him, fascinating to see where he’ll be by the time he’s a senior.
Gio Thomas Gio Thomas 6'4" | PF South Paulding | 2023 State GA (SG, 6-4, South Paulding) – Only got a short glimpse as he was a late arrival, but showed a lot of versatility and athleticism, can really drive it to the cup be it out in space or off the wing, very tough inside once he catches it, has plenty of creativity near the basket, another great leaper, looking forward to seeing more but had my eyes focused for sure on his skill-set.
OTHERS to watch:
Evan Daniel Evan Daniel 6'7" | SF North Cobb | 2023 State GA injured his ankle in the game and missed the rest of the weekend, but the North Cobb sophomore to be has a world of upside at 6-5 with lots of spring he uses at both ends for finishes in close, as a glass cleaner, and as a rim protector, liked what I saw defensively from 5-11 guard CJ Wallace CJ Wallace 5'11" | PG North Cobb Christian School | 2023 State GA also of North Cobb, really can get up in your face, super quick and smart, has an offensive game that is effective in the mid-range and will grow, a pair of 6-0 guards Walker’s Dante Harrison Dante Harrison 6'0" | CG South Cobb | 2023 State GA and Cherokee Bluff’s Dre Raven Dre Raven 5'11" | CG Gainesville | 2023 State GA were both fine defenders as well with enough physicality to guard multiple spots, each can shoot it, handle the ball and were active out on the break, Jakenes Heard Jakenes Heard 6'5" | PF Model | 2023 State GA of Model is another intriguing long and lean forward, fluid mover at 6-4 who can finish well in close, run the floor and guard the rim.
