A deep and wide-ranging group of teams descended on LakePoint, sat down for another look at ATL T-Wolves Green, chick full of under-the-radar talent that has pushed a lot of eyeballs their way this summer.
Aidan Hadaway Aidan Hadaway 6'6" | SF Lafayette | 2022 State GA (PF, 6-5, Lafayette) – 2022 frontcourt product has been stellar playing up with the 2021’s all season, sneaky athletic and really gets up and down the floor as a rim-runner, creative driving it with authority but also gets buckets in droves as one of the summer’s most consistent and dominant rebounders with a real nose for the ball, possesses more than enough range to draw defenders away from the basket, a facet for one the summer’s true breakouts which only adds to the attractiveness recruiters will no doubt be enthralled with.
Dylan Garrington Dylan Garrington 6'1" | PG North Oconee | 2021 State GA (PG, 6-1, North Oconee) – Does so many things well, can play either guard spot and defend either at a high level but appears a bit more comfortable with the ball in his hands, confident shooter particularly from beyond the arc, sees the floor well and doesn’t mind a pass-first role, plenty physical to get into traffic and make things happen although his strengths are best released a little further from the basket.
Jace Saxton Jace Saxton 6'0" | CG North Oconee | 2021 State GA (CG, 6-1, North Oconee) – Like NOHS teammate Garrington has great versatility, a little more physicality packed into his frame and utilizes that at both ends, playing off the ball suits perhaps him better than a lead guard role although he can handle that if called upon, athleticism is his real gift and it makes him a real threat in the open floor as a finisher, perhaps not the long-range bomber Garrington is but is more adept in close to the basket and plays bigger than his 6-1 attracting and powering through contact.
OTHERS to watch:
Intrigued by what 2022 forward McRae Ball McRae Ball 6'4" | SG Johns Creek | 2022 State GA will bring to Johns Creek as a transfer, a good-looking 6-4 combo forward with inside-outside ability and a really good motor he’ll see some really good frontcourt talent opposite him as a member of the Gladiators, Gainseville’s Rob Reisman got a flat tire and missed Saturday’s morning game but has like Hadaway had a monster breakout summer and has been among the most talked-about guards on the circuit, feisty gamer who can do it from all 3 levels at 6-3 with really good lift and an advanced understanding of the game, Lucas Garbadian will be a terrific add for Denmark his senior season, sound 6-0 guard who can shoot it, handle it, guard you and make good decisions and will get to showcase his skills as the Danes move up to 7A this winter.
