The Jersey Force scrimmages had a good showing of sophomores ready to have strong junior campaigns. Here are the top 2022’s to watch from the Jersey Force scrimmages.
Ryan Curry Ryan Curry 6'0" | PG Montgomery | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 PG Jersey Force 16U Montgomery
Curry had a strong showing during the scrimmages as he proved to be one of the better point guards on the day. The 6’0 guard ran the show for the 16U and made few mistakes with the ball in his hands. Curry played extremely unselfish as he passed ahead to a teammate in transition on more than one occasion. He was able to beat his man off the dribble and finish around the basket. Curry is a skilled point guard prospect who should continue to play well for the Jersey Force 16U team.
Patrick Murray Patrick Murray 6'3" | SG Red Bank Regional | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG East Coast Cyclones Red Bank Regional
Murray was the go-to guy for the Cyclones on the day and showed his ability to score in multiple ways. The 6’3 guard attacked the basket with a purpose and knew how to draw contact around the basket. Murray showed off a nice release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence. He dribbled the ball well on the perimeter and played solid on-ball defense. Murray is a strong scoring guard who provides good scoring for the Cyclones.
Nate Williams Nate Williams 6'4" | SG St. John Vianney | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 SG Jersey Force 16U St. John Vianney
Williams played like he was on a mission at the scrimmages. The 6’2 guard attacked the basket hard and was hard to keep out of the lane. Williams shot the ball well from the perimeter and released the ball with confidence. He played well within the flow of the offense and was strong on the defensive end. Williams is a tough guard prospect who is a big contributor to the Jersey Force 16U team.
DJ Thomson DJ Thomson 6'3" | PG Keyport | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 CG Jersey Shore Predators Keyport
Thomson had a strong performance on the day as he showed why he is one of the top scorers in the Shore Conference. The 6’2 guard was strong on the ball and could beat his man off the bounce. Thomson drew contact when he attacked the basket and knew how to finish through traffic. He played solid on-ball defense and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. Thomson is a big-time scorer who should continue his scoring ways for the Jersey Shore Predators.
Dwight Mathews Dwight Mathews 6'4" | SG Shawnee | 2022 State NJ , 6’4 SG/SF Jersey Force 16U Shawnee
Matthews had a good showing on the day as he proved his ability to make plays on the offensive end. The 6’4 wing has a nice release on his jumper and wasted little motion in his form. Matthews attacked the basket hard and knew how to draw contact around the basket. He played solid perimeter defense and rebounded the ball well down low. Matthews is a tough wing prospect who should help the Jersey Force 16U team this summer.
