Aim High 17U
George Pridgett George Pridgett 6'2" | CG Legacy Academy | 2021 State GA (PG, 5-11, Roswell, pictured above right) – Unable to confirm that Pridgett has left Roswell for Legacy Academy at posting, the crafty lefty nonetheless was the best player I saw all day Saturday, he’s a better fit with the athletes from Aim High than previous club Game Elite 3SSB, he teamed with Logan Turner Logan Turner 6'5" | SG Centennial | 2021 State GA and Kasheem Grady for a devastating threesome at points, Pridgett has such natural PG instincts, there are few more pure floor leaders on the summer circuit, plenty of confidence to merely be a top-flight distributor, but has a great first step to the basket and a sweet stroke that must be respected, he’s a sneaky prospect who a clever program not caught up on height would be wise to make an offer to.
Logan Turner Logan Turner 6'5" | SG Centennial | 2021 State GA (SG, 6-4, Centennial, pictured above left) – Not far behind Pridgett for top Saturday honors was the explosive Turner, who once again had me chuckling to myself at his quiet-killer mentality on the court as he dunked, drove and diced his way to a big performance against Forrest, so much moxie and confidence to his game, he makes his way around the floor like he’s sure he can take you and does it more often than not, such range and explosiveness to the rack makes him a fascinating riser who is surely making recruiters lists this summer and on a what’s expected to be a solid Knights team will be un-missable this winter.
Jackson Price Jackson Price 6'8" | C Hiram | 2021 State GA (PF, 6-8, Hiram) and Omarion Smith Omarion Smith 6'5" | PF Douglas County | 2021 State GA (PF, 6-5, Douglas County) – These two play off each other really well, Price has nice versatility which he can use to beat you in close but also can pull it from 15 feet while Smith uses his off-the-charts athleticism to high-fly his way to points, blocks and rebounds at both ends, what makes Price particularly intriguing is that he can park it on the block and be very effective with his back to the basket, while Smith can do the same at just 6-5 because of his enormous athletic gifts and could really make a jump if he adds a little more range to his shooting.
Kasheem Grady (SF, 6-4, Decatur) – What impressed me most about Grady’s play was how he took what came his way and made the most of it, he doesn’t force the action with so many other options on the floor with him, but with a great motor and really good length he was effective at multiple levels, he was comfortable out past the arc but also showed a polished dribble-drive game that was hard to deal with at his size, the Bulldogs have most of their athletic roster coming back and Grady surely will be among the headliners and one to watch in the ATL-Metro area.
