After a long hiatus, getting back in the gym to see player I knew an didn’t know was refreshing as ever. It was well ran as always and took all of the safety precautions necessary to provide players a platform for exposure. Many of which have garnered new college interest or offers over the last 24 hours. I arrived for the 8:30AM games and stayed throughout the day.
Here are the frontcourt prospects that stood out.
Donovan Clingan | 7’1 | Team Spartans ’22
Clingan was the best true big in attendance at this event. At 7-foot-1, there was simply no on that could stop him on block catches with his back to the basket. From there he’d either bully his defender under the rim before finishing with two-handed dunks or utilize his soft touch over his shoulder. Defensively he was a human eraser around the rim. His height and length gave him first dibs on missed shots and he took advantage by securing the board, locating a guard and rim-running.

Jarace Walker | 6’9 | Team Thrill ’22
As usual Walker had eye-popping finishes that made the crowd get out of their seats. The 6-foot-9 point forward is becoming much more comfortable displaying his ability as a decision-maker on the break after pulling down the defensive board. If he isn’t throwing down a rim-rattling dunk, he’s fitting the ball in small windows to streaking teammates for easy looks. Walker’s ability to impact the game in a multitude of ways at his size always has you walking away impressed.
Matthew McCool | 6’9 | The House We Built ’21
McCool was a hardworking big that did his work early establishing inside position. On his catches he displayed good footwork and soft touch on his shots over the shoulder. In the second half against Boo he showcased his IQ as a passer when operating from the high post.
Jamai Felt | 6’9 | Team Choo ’21
Felt was arguably the biggest stock riser at this event considering how his recruitment picked up after Saturday’s slate. The 6-foot-9 southpaw has elite length and swift first jump that allows him to routinely block shots in the paint, grab rebounds on both ends and finish over the rim before his match up can contest. He also showed a face-up game in the mid-post where he shot with smooth form and soft touch. Felt will be a prospect to keep an eye on going forward. He picked up offers from Chestnut Hill (DII), SMU, Texas Southern and Towson following his performances on Saturday.
Javon Adams Javon Adams 6'6" | SF Capital Christian | 2022 MD | 6’9 | Team Final Red ’22
Adams is a still a raw products overall, but has the frame, length and showed an interesting skill-set that could ultimately make him into a forward that many college programs recruit. The 6-foot-9 four man blocked shots defensively, guarded multiple positions and scored from all three levels. He even showed potential as a ball handler in situations where he led the break and made plays off the bounce with decent control.
