MVP: Uriyah Rojas Uriyah Rojas 6'1" | PG Los Osos | 2021 State CA-S 6’1 PG Prodigy 2021 (#64PHSC 2021) – You could make an argument that several players for Prodigy could have received this award. The champs are a deep, talented, well balanced team. In the end I went with Rojas because of his efficiency, and defense. The combo guard harassed ballhandlers, and buried 3’s at a high rate throughout the weekend, leading Prodigy to the chip.
Cole Anderson Cole Anderson 6'3" | PG Clovis West | 2021 #183 Nation CA-N 6’3 SG Everybody Eats 2021 (#2PHNC 2021) – Anderson was magnificent in leading EE to the title game. He had the entire gym buzzing with an eight 3 pointer, 38 point performance in a pool play elimination game.
Jahmai Mashack Jahmai Mashack 6'3" | SG Etiwanda | 2021 State #68 Nation CA-S 6’4 SG Prodigy 2021 (#5PHSC 2021) – Mashack was his usual unstoppable self. In fact the only thing that stopped him was foul trouble in the championship game. He scored in transition and manufactured several tough buckets off offensive rebounds.
Tyus Parrish Tillman 6’7 PF Everybody Eats 2022 (#50PHNC 2022) – I was really impressed with TPT. He has a nice skill set, which includes good low post footwork, above average athleticism, and great timing on his blocks.
Christopher Hardy 6’0 PG So Cal Buzz 2021 – Hardy was the engine that made the Buzz go. The lighting quick PG got into the lane, scored in transition and was able to knock down open jumpers.
Marcus Green Marcus Green 6'4" | PF Etiwanda | 2021 State CA-S 6’2 SF Prodigy 2021 (#53PHSC) – There may not be a huge market for 6’2 forwards, but I think an exception needs to be made for Green. A positionless stud, Green isn’t a great athlete, he’s a jaw dropping one. He used his explosive leaping ability and powerful frame to get transition buckets, win offensive rebounds and score in the paint.
Lenz Dupont 6’3 SG Supreme Court 2021 – Dupont was consistent all weekend for SC. He was able to score downhill in transition and did a good job of getting paint touches off the bounce. He was the most consistent player for a Supreme Court team that bowed out in the semi’s.
Alton Dubois 6’2 SG Supreme Court 2021 – Dubois is a defensive monster who harassed ballhandlers full court. He also showed good outside shooting and penetrating ability. Dubois was about half an inch away from sending SC to the title when he missed a game winning 3 that was in and out.
