How did we pick the players on our top 50 chsaa list? I have watched film on every player who was considered (65) total. Every chsaa coach was contacted by me. Some (5) did not respond. This was my main need. A scouting report from the players own coach. As a former coach my belief is nobody knows the player better then his coach. So this was a MUST to be on the list. I also encouraged input from opposing coaches. Lastly I studied offers and interest from colleges. All this played a part in composing this list. Hope you have been looking forward to it each day as much as I did.

12 [player_tooltip player_id="1047689" first="Todd" last="Rochelle"] 6”2 2021 St. Francis Prep HS

A leader. Knows what it takes to win games. Combines these qualities with high basketball IQ and enormous talent. Can knock down shots. Very good defensively. Would be a nice get for a high academic D1 program. Can play either guard position at the next level.

11 [player_tooltip player_id="1045941" first="Latiek" last="Briscoe"]. 6”1. 2022. St. Francis Prep HS

No wonder the Terrier program is winning. They come in here with #12 and #11. Many more players on the rise. Latiek is a big time talent. A physical player who finishes through contact at the rim. A great shooter. Explosive player who regularly blows by defenders.

10 [player_tooltip player_id="787664" first="Tyler" last="Hawkins"]. 5”10. 2022 Mount St. Michael HS

Yes, he’s young but extremely talented. Lightning-fast guard who gets into the lane and then scores or sets up a teammate. Really penetrates the defense. Good ballhandler. Excellent mid-range from elbow to elbow. Nice pull up game. A feisty pest on the defensive end.

9 R J Green 6”5. 2022. Iona Prep HS

R J was one of the players mentioned by all different coaches. At 6”5 has nice guard skills. Quick first step which can end with a dunk. Very athletic and has started shooting the ball really well. D1 have been on him, I would certainly not wait to long. This a major rising star in the chsaa.

8 [player_tooltip player_id="992509" first="Brandon" last="Williams"]. 6”5. 2023. Christ The King HS

Brandon is still growing. Coach says 6”9 could be his future. Already major D1 offers. Can put it on the floor. Shoots it really well. Finishes with either hand. A tremendous talent from a school that regularly sends high quality to the next level.

7 Shaun Fulcher. 6”0. 2021. Xaverian HS

Dynamic point guard. Incredible court vision. Can put the ball on the deck and finish with a pull up jumper. Excellent ball handler. Tremendous talent with leadership qualities. A D1 point guard talent.
