Today, we are taking a look at team-by-team with how they played and our overall thoughts on each player on their rosters.
Indy Heat Red 2021
Zane Burke Zane Burke 6'2" | SG Blackhawk Christian | 2021 State IN – 6’3 SG 2021 – Blackhawk Christian (IN)
Burke is a tall shooting guard with some real good IQ. Made of couple of big plays throughout this game with one being a big steal on the defensive end. He shot the ball well, especially off the catch. He is the type of guard who can really get going and will get the shot off so there is not much you can do. Good handles and can play both on and off the ball at the next level. Solid showing from Burke at this event.
Landen Jordan Landen Jordan 6'9" | PF Churubusco | 2021 State IN – 6’8 PF 2021 – Churubusco (IN)
Jordan is a big, strong forward who has a ton of athletic ability. Runs the floor so well and is real solid with the pick-and-roll game and even had a dunk off of one. Probably at his best when he is in transition. Does look to have the ability to become a stretch 4 if he can start showing his jumper some more. He is a very active player with a ton of upside. Still a little bit raw at times but he is on the right track to become a nice big man at the next level.
Naylon Thompson Naylon Thompson 6'5" | PG Bishop Luers | 2021 State IN – 6’3 PG 2021 – Bishop Luers (IN)
Thompson is a tall guard who has a good amount of skill and talent. Real shifty player and can get to the basket fairly easy. Best play of the day was his crossover move that led him to an easy right-handed layup. His passing ability was great and he had very little to no turnovers. Really does have the size and ability to play multiple spots. Should be in for a big senior season.
Blake Davison Blake Davison 6'0" | PG Leo | 2021 State IN – 6’1 PG 2021 – Leo (IN)
Davison is a slight lead guard that can create pretty well. Did a real nice job in pushing the tempo when he had the ball in his hands. Had a pull-up 3 that looked smooth but would have liked to have seen him shoot it a bit more. Also had a few rebounds as well. Not a player that is going to play out of control at all. Smart guard that lets the game dictate his offense.
Khamani Smith Khamani Smith 6'5" | SF Fort Wayne Northrop | 2021 State IN – 6’5 SF 2021 – Fort Wayne Northrop (IN)
Smith is a long, strong guard with a great motor. He has a high vertical and plays with a ton of toughness. Did not shoot the ball all that great but does look to have a smooth jumper, especially off a pull-up shot. Has a great amount of size and strength which is going to be huge for him at the next level. Great defender as well and made a few stops during this game. Lot of upside in Smith.
Jon Bryan – 6’7 PF 2021 – La Lumiere (IN)
Bryan is a tall, lanky forward that has some great skill and fundamentals. Plays mostly like a true power froward but does try to utilize a pick-and-pop game a good amount. Looked to be pretty explosive at times and cut to the rim real well. Probably needs to add just a tad more muscle. Overall, he did some nice things during this game and was pretty impressive. Look for him to have breakout senior season.
