The next series of articles will cover 25 of the 2021s I have my eye on for the All 757 teams. Each player will be listed as well as their current school, height, position(s), and why they are on my watchlist.
1. Ryan Williams | 6’4 W | Norfolk Collegiate
Ryan Williams is a long, strong wing that excels at shooting the rock. Williams moves well on offense off the ball and is an absolute sniper in catch and shoot scenarios. I expect his shooting and defense will help him make the list.
2. Kyjuan Oden | 5’10 PG | Indian River
Kyjuan Oden is a major sparkplug. Last year Oden was able to come off the bench and be a threat to score 30+. This season, Oden will take the reigns on offense as a senior. His quickness and shot creating should help him put up numbers.
3. Mason Makovec Mason Makovec 6'5" | PF Kellam | 2021 State VA | 6’4 F | Kellam
Mason will be a double double machine. This power forward loves to get scrappy in the paint. With a quick second leap and a high motor, 15 and 10 should be a given for this young man.
4. Jayden Eason | 6’5 F | Grassfield
Much like Mason mentioned before, Eason is in an excellent position to put up numbers. The athletic forward runs the floor incredibly well. On top of this, Eason is stronger than most forwards which allows him to finish and rebound at a high clip. Again, this is another kid who could average 15 and 10.
5. Jaylani Darden Jaylani Darden 6'3" | CG Norview | 2021 State VA | 6’5 PG | Norview
I would not be entirely shocked if Mr. Darden averages 25 next season. This guard towers over his matchups, his 6’5 frame allowing him to dominate with his size. Darden is a smooth lefty guard who knows how to score at the best possible time. On top of this, Darden plays at his own pace and does not get rattled. Not only will Darden contend for All 757, he will also be in the conversation for MVP.
