Austin Ball Austin Ball 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2023 State #203 Nation VA really proved himself to be one of the top 5 juniors (2022) in the state. He is very versatile and can play and defend 3 positions. He is capable of guarding 2-4 and can play said positions on offense too. He stretches the floor with his 3 point shooting, has a good 1-2 dribble pull up, uses an array of floaters and up and under finishes and can play above the rim. Defensively his length allow him to guard 2-4 and is capable of guarding some 5’s. Mid major D1’s need to inquire now.
Jordan McInnis Jordan McInnis 6'8" | PF Greater Beckley Christian | 2022 State WV – 6’9” PF GBC 2022
McInnis was a guy I didn’t never got to see very much but the transformation of his game has been incredible. He used to try to be a guard and stand around and shoot jumpers. That is no longer the case. He has showed off an improved low post game and showed the ability to stretch the floor at both Future Edge recruiting events. Jordan was very physical and is very good over his left shoulder. McInnis shoots the ball well out to about 18-19 feet, has great hands and is a solid ball handler for his position. Defensively, he is very physical and shows good length for shot blocker and altering shots. D1’s need to reach out.
Bryson Lucas Bryson Lucas 6'7" | SF Robert C. Byrd | 2021 State WV – 6’7” F Robert C. Byrd 2021
Lucas is a guy who every time I go to see him play he gets better and seems to grow. He appears to be around 6’7”, 2 inches taller than the 6’5” he was listed at last year. Offensively, he is difficult to defend because his ability to score at all 3 levels. He shoots the 3 well off the catch, can create for himself in the mid range or penetrate and finish at or above the rim. He also has great hands and is very good at finishing alley oop dunks and layups. Defensively he is able to guard 2-4 because of his length and athleticism. He has good timing when going up for blocks, reads passing lanes well and does a great job at sprinting the floor getting him some highlight dunks this year. D1’s and high level D2’s need to inquire.
Jude Wisman-Raven 5’10” G University 2022
Wisman-Raven is a guy we didn’t get to see a ton of last season playing behind 2 Division I guards, a D3 guard and a senior guard who played a key role on University’s #1 seed in the state tournament. Playing for the West Virginia Reign in Big Shots events, Jude, the long hair assassin, showed he is one of the top shooters in 2022. He put up big numbers all summer and showed his ability to score and shoot. He is a solid ball handler and a solid passer. Defensively, he does a good job at applying ball pressure. D2’s should inquire about Wisman-Raven.
