George Bellevue (Illinois T-Wolves)
Bellevue was the most consistent 15U performer throughout the month of July and August of any player in the state we saw. The bouncy Lincoln Way East four man brought it each game. Explosive leaper around the hoop getting on the offensive glass for second chance opportunities. Rim runner with tremendous upside. Very good shot blocker on the defensive end.
Jalen Griffith Jalen Griffith 5'9" | PG Simeon | 2023 State IL (The Work Foundation)
Griffith is a dynamic point guard from Simeon that had the best single performance of any 2023 on the circuit. He dropped 40 points in a contest at Havoc in the Heartland for The Work Foundation. Known for his elite handles he had defenders sliding all over the place. That wasn’t even the aspect he was best at. His three point shot was NBA Jam on FIRE! He had fans in awe with his ability to hit deep threes one after another in his epic performance.
Jeremy Fears Jeremy Fears 6'1" | PG La Lumiere | 2023 GA (Team RWA)
Fears is the top guard in the 2023 class and has racked up an array of high-major offers already. He is a high IQ floor general that knows how to run a team. Played up on the 17U level where he was often the best player on the floor. Advanced feel for the game and is an excellent passer. Can get it going with his scoring when needed as well with his burst to the rim and mid-range shot.
Miles Rubin (Chicago Lockdown)
Miles broke out in the very first event of the summer. The Homewood Flossmoor 6’7” four man is a force on the defensive end with his length blocking shots. Has excellent timing on that end and did it against a high level of competition. Offensively he flashed including stretching the floor and quick low post moves.
Wes Rubin (Chicago Lockdown)
A couple weeks later it was his twin brother Wes that emerged. The mobile 6’7” four man is a skilled post. Inside/outside threat that can hit a jumper, put it on the deck, and score with fundamental moves around the hoop. Really shines in the pick and roll game. Rebounds well in and out of his area. Potential shot blocking presence.
