Tarrance Austin Tarrance Austin 5'10" | PG Pueblo South | 2022 State CO – Chaparral
Although Speckman is 6’7, he knows how to put the ball on the floor, and that keeps the opposing big man honest. Speckman is too quick and skilled for bigs, but he is too big for wings that they try and place on him, and that creates a mismatch. Speckman is a player that is not afraid to go down and bang with the big boys but is interchangeable on both sides of the ball. He can defend multiple positions, and on Day 1, he made some plays by finding ways to score the basketball. He has excellent footwork and a strong presence down low.
Zach Keller Zach Keller 6'9" | PF ThunderRidge | 2022 State #81 Nation CO – Thunderridge
Keller was a player that stood out because he scored when he wanted to based on sheer size alone. He secured the rebound and went right up, got out in transition, and was fed. When he got the ball, he was not able to be slowed down as he overpowered smaller defenders. He finished with about 12 points in the game, crashed the boards and gets after it. Although his team lost, he was a player to watch that popped out on the screen.
Brock Wisne Brock Wisne 6'9" | PF Colorado Prep | 2022 State CO – Horizon
Put the ball in the basket is the name of the game, and Wisne is good at it. It does not matter how he makes it happen; he is going to get it done. On day 1, it was at the rim as he moved on the perimeter and showed that he could put the ball on the floor as he either scored or got fouled at the rim. Wisne has excellent footwork, and once he makes up his mind to score, there is no deterring him. He scored the basketball, applied himself defensively, and his team made a late-game comeback but came up short. I expect him to be let loose in the next game and for his scoring to go up.
KK Stroter KK Stroter 6'4" | PF Rangeview | 2022 State CO — Rangeview
Stroter is a player that continues to standout each time that I watch him as he is a prospect that plays with joy and loves being on the floor. He has an endless motor and is always moving. He does not give up on plays, is able to score in bunches, and also crashes the boards. Stroter finished with nine points and a couple of rebounds on Day 1 and that was playing alongside one of the most explosive bigs on the day. He found gaps in the defense and once he got it he made quick scoring decisions that got him on the board. Stroter is a player that you do not have to run through but he is still going to be productive and he showed that in Day 1.
Joey Bilello Joey Bilello 6'8" | SF Thunderridge | 2022 State CO – ThunderRidge
Bilello played well as everything ran smoothly for him in game 1. He used all of his slender 6’7 frame defensively and for rebounds, and with one of the most talented players in the state on his team, he fit in seamlessly and played well alongside him. He scored down low with high post touches, got the ball on the block for baskets, and also ran the floor for a couple of easy points. On defense, he seemed to get his hands on multiple shots for a block and recovers well after gambling for blocks.Bilello is a fun player to watch.
