2021: Phenom Challenge – Point Guards

<p>Prep Hoops has had the pleasure to watch the 2021 class since we started the website back in January 2017. These players all will be seniors this coming season. Lets take a look at some 2021 point guards from this weekend at the Phenom Challenge in Rock Hill, SC. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840204" first="Omazeon" last="Tinsley"] - Lancaster HS - [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] 2021 (pictured on the front) </strong></p> <p>Tinsley who is nicknamed "Dude" really has the ability to set-up his teammates on the floor with his court vision. Tinsley connected on some mid-range jumpers and pesky defense. Tinsley keeps the ball low to the floor and never seems to turn it over. Rogers really used ball screens well to today to find his teammates. Rogers was able to connect on open jump shots and shot the ball at a good percentage. Rogers saw more action at the point guard position with absences of the [player_tooltip player_id="927504" first="Drayton" last="Watson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="746991" first="Bryson" last="Bishop"]. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/08/E1B9FA82-17C3-4598-AB66-E2BD29D231CC.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1028511" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/08/E1B9FA82-17C3-4598-AB66-E2BD29D231CC-300x225.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840191" first="Bailey" last="Wiseman"] - James Island HS - [program_tooltip program_id='2078753' first='Upward' last='Stars Columbia'] </strong></p> <p>Wiseman will have some added help this season in the Trojans back court with the addition of [player_tooltip player_id="840196" first="Cohen" last="Gaskins"]. Wiseman is filling out his frame more and more each year. Wiseman a All-State Performer for the Trojans can really stuff the shat sheet well with his ability to rebound from the guard position and see the floor. Wiseman and Gaskins should makeup a great backcourt duo in the Class 4A ranks this season. Townsend a pass first point guard has the ability to get the ball into the paint or penetrate-kick. Thompson really pushes the ball up the floor and penetrate-kicks to teammates. Thompson plays the game with a good basketball IQ. Thompson really plays great on the ball defense. Thompson always seems to be in control and never seems to get rattled on the floor with his play. </p>
