Maddox Alipate Maddox Alipate 6'1" | PG Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2022 State MN of Minnesota Fury (Benilde-St Margaret’s). The way that Maddox ran the Fury Wilde offense this year executing sets, getting the motion moving with the right activity, and then attacking to create for himself and others led to a great Fury season. Fury Wilde was one of the elite 16s in Minnesota, and Alipate ran the lead guard spot.
Leroy Fairbanks IV Leroy Fairbanks IV 6'4" | SF Cass Lake-Bena | 2022 State MN of Playmakers North (Cass Lake-Bena). The 6-foot-4 wing has a great scoring feel. Love how me moves off screens, follows up play for an extra chance, steps into space to quickly release his jumper. Love the quick release and that’s not just on the jumper, that’s in small windows around the basket too.
Ryan Harvey Ryan Harvey 6'3" | SG Wayzata | 2022 State MN of Minnesota Heat (Wayzata). There were times this year where Ryan took over some games offensively and carried his team to a win. There is a scoring touch there that Ryan has used off the dribble in more ways than expected. Used the behind the back dribble combination very well to get into his shot.
Donnavin Hinsz Donnavin Hinsz 6'6" | PF Columbia Heights | 2022 State MN of Next Level Basketball (Moorhead). Hinz is a player that has really grabbed out attention. Good strength and size at 6-foot-5, Hinsz is also a solid athlete that 16u wings simply struggled to keep in front of. They didn’t have the quicks or the strength, and at times both, to stop Hinsz from getting to his spots. I think Donnavin is going to have a monster junior year.
Kyle Hrncir Kyle Hrncir 6'4" | PF Farmington | 2022 State MN of WOTN (Farmington). If Kyle wants to play college basketball he has a future as a 6-foot-4, 6-foot-5 small forward. Great build and he runs well, Kyle can play the four for teams because he’s a good rebounder but the skills and feel are there with the ball to be a playmaker.
Buom Jock Buom Jock 6'5" | SF Mankato West | 2022 VA of Minnesota Fury Narum (Mankato West). At about 6-foot-4 Buom is one of the most explosive leapers in the state of Minnesota. Any time he gets on a sprint to the rim big things can happen. Seems to compete hard as well. When the skills catch-up the potential is very high.
Brandon Melchoir of Minnesota Comets (Elk River). Brandon is a legit 6-foot-9 with a high percentage shooting touch around the basket. A consistent, lunch pail kind of center that does what is within his ability and does it constantly. Gets to the block and boards, finishes, defenders, and competes without forcing things that are not within his comfort zone. A very steady, consistent big that I think will be a scholarship player at some point. I have high expectations for him the next two years.
Payton Mogire Payton Mogire 6'8" | C Maple Grove | 2022 State MN of Howard Pulley (Maple Grove). Payton is still raw but at 6-foot-9, 220 pounds, and long, the potential is there for a solid future. It may still be some time before he turns the corner but there have been steps taken.
Pharrel Payne Pharrel Payne 6'9" | C Park Of Cottage Grove | 2022 State #84 Nation MN of Minnesota Select Mantey (Park of Cottage Grove). Pharell has grown to 6-foot-8 and he’s a player that had a solid junior season but has grown another inch or two and has become more comfortable within his frame. Payne is also raw but moves pretty well and he’s long, plus he will step into a bigger role this year with a chance to impact games. If Pharell keeps progressing he could be a scholarship guy.
Kenji Scales Kenji Scales 6'0" | PG Eastview | 2022 State MN of Minnesota Fury Narum (Eastview). Kenji’s confident shooting stroke as well as his move combinations in getting to open shots is something I won’t forget. He got some solid run with a veteran team last winter but based on what we saw this summer Kenji is another Eastview player that has patiently waited his time and is now ready for a big winter.
