We are all still hopeful for the HS season will happen. If it does take place in the fall or maybe even the spring, I want to take a look at the top players in each region plus make some way too early rankings.
This region may have the most overall talent in 6A even though many studs did transfer away from their AIA teams.
You can pick a coin with many of these teams places of 1st-5th. I think the Broncos can win the region and easily be a Final-4 contender yet I picked them 2nd, which goes to show how good this region really is.
Let’s more over to the 6A Premier region predictions followed by the top players:
1. Chandler
-Coach Rother lost a junior stud guard but still have a tough front line and good guards on the roster.
2. Brophy Prep
-Coach Hooten has a deep group of guards and wings with adequate size to compete with the two big teams of Chandler and Perry.
3. Perry
-Coach Duane Jr lost Region POY, but they still have just as much talent as anyone in the region and are helped by the addition of Red

Kyle WatersKyleWaters6'2" | SFPerry | 2022StateAZ.
4. Hamilton
-Coach Harris lost a lot of senior talent but he always has a wave of talent with a big pool of players from the largest school.
5. Basha
-Coach Grothaus lost a soph stud and set them back a little on a team that was primed to make a deep run this season with an older core of players. They are still a playoff team but in one of toughest regions in AZ, they may be at the bottom of the Premier region.

-The sharp shooter will spread the floor. He has a quick trigger and he can shoot the 3 with consistency.
Christian TuckerChristianTucker6'3" | CGPerry | 2021StateAZ (Perry)
-A true scoring guard who is very fast with the ball. He is polished from mid range and can make the deep 3. He does make plays for others and can defend his own position. He will most likely avg more points this season.
Austin HutchingsAustinHutchings5'11" | PGPerry | 2021StateAZ (Perry)

Andrew HinkleAndrewHinkle6'3" | SFHamilton #10 | 2021StateAZ (Hamilton)
-The true glue guy of the program may not be too tall, but plays with a motor and toughness. Two skills that you can’t teach. He can score it from inside and uses his strength to rebound.
Adrian GalindoAdrianGalindo5'11" | PGHamilton | 2021StateAZ (Hamilton)
-A pure PG is very talented and a gifted ball handler with incredible quickness. He also happens to be a stud soccer player, so he may not play hoops his senior season. Although the Huskies always have depth, it would be a big loss.
Trenton McLaughlin
TrentonMcLaughlin6'5" | SFBasha | 2021StateAZ (Basha)
-One of the top shooters in the AIA. He will easily avg 20 points per game and most likely lead the region in 3’s made.
Thomas HastingsThomasHastings6'1" | PGBasha | 2021StateAZ (Basha)
-Another top Bears player is more of the pure PG. He is very smart off the pick and roll game and always seems to find the open man. He keeps getting a little bigger every year and better. Like McLaughlin, he also can sling it from deep.
George Moukhtarov W 6’1 (Basha)
-A sturdy framed shooter is smart and crafty. He can space the floor with 3’s and look for him to improve on his scoring with more opportunity next season.
Top juniors:
Patrick ChewPatrickChew6'3" | SGBrophy Prep | 2022StateAZ (Brophy Prep)
-He played towards the end of the year and the team won immediately. He may take another big leap next season taking more of a lead role. The two-way player shoots it consistently from the perimeter and will defend the 1-3.
Trey PhillipsTreyPhillips6'6" | SFEduprize | 2022StateAZ (Brophy Prep)
-A bouncy forward only played JV last year due to his injury. He barely played any games but was impressive in those games from rim running, rebounding and blocking shots.
Miles NashMilesNash6'0" | PGBrophy Prep | 2022StateAZ (Brophy Prep)
-Another pure PG for the Broncos. He has a tight handle and has made strides each season with his shooting. He uses a burst to get into the lane and make plays for him or others.
JP MusselmannJPMusselmann6'6" | PFBrophy Prep | 2022StateAZ (Brophy Prep)
-Another star JV player from last year. He is another explosive forward who can defend and score from the perimeter plus grabs rebounds out of area. He is also a sneaky good passer!
Trey Hollis PG 5’10 (Chandler)
-With the loss of junior guard Mason, Hollis will need to come off the bench and be a factor. He is a sturdy ball handler and has good speed to defend on the ball.
Dylan Anderson
DylanAnderson7'0" | CPerry | 2022State#46NationAZ (Perry)
-The big man is one of the more gifted on the West Coast from his class. Not many have a prettier looking J then Anderson has from mid to the 3pt line. He will be asked to gobble up more boards and should be the main offense and have more touches coming his way.
Kyle WatersKyleWaters6'2" | SFPerry | 2022StateAZ (Perry)
-A big transfer from Red Mountain. He would of been a possible POY candidate in the East Valley region. He can score it from inside and out and has a good handle plus is sneaky athletic.

Top sophs:
Arman Madi
ArmanMadi6'5" | SFBrophy Prep | 2023StateAZ (Brophy Prep)
-The soph may make a big leap up in production next season. He was a rare varsity player on the team last year and I think he will play bigger minutes and be in the rotation. It is an already deep team but his athleticism and skill will be a big help.
Cody WilliamsCodyWilliams6'6" | SFPerry | 2023StateAZ (Perry)

Kevin Patton JrKevinPatton Jr6'7" | SFAZ Compass Prep HS | 2023StateAZ (Perry)
