Some of the top teams from Minnesota, the Dakotas and Wisconsin were in Sioux Falls last weekend for the Summer Slam. 

Here were some of the top 16U guards from play Sunday:

Hedin was one of the best players in Sioux Falls from any age group and he backed up a terrific Saturday showing with really good play Sunday as well. He’s so smooth and makes everything on the floor look easy. He’s got great size at 6-foot-6, but he makes getting to the rim and finishing in traffic look effortless. He’s effective in the mid-range and showed complementary playmaking skills to boot. 

Mason Hills, ECI Prospects

The Moorhead point guard did a great job providing a spark seemingly every time he stepped onto the floor for ECI Prospects. Hills has excellent quickness and it shows up with his on-ball defense, as he’s excellent putting pressure on the ball. He’s explosive off the bounce and possesses a good floater and mid-range game, plus showed solid playmaking skills.
