Each of these players stood-out and made an impact with their play during grassroots circuits or for their respective varsity teams throughout their high school career.

#8 – Joaquin Gonzalez (6-3) – Boerne
Gonzalez enjoyed a breakout junior season for Boerne averaging 12.3 points, 4.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game. A playmaking combo guard with smooth handles, Gonzalez is able to attack defenses in multiple ways. He has great burst and finishing ability at the basket, as well as the ability to create his own shot from the mid-range to beyond-the-arc. Gonzalez is also a terrific passer who was able to constantly create opportunities for his teammates. Earned All-District 28-4A First Team & Newcomer of the Year / TABC 4A Region 4 All-Region Team
#9 – Jaylen Streeter (6-2) – Harlan
A strong and physical combo guard, Streeter is a freight train with the ball in his hands when attacking the basket. Plays with an aggressive edge and it shows when he is finishing at the rim. A three-level scorer who can create open shots for himself in the mid-range. Streeter is also one of the top defensive guards in San Antonio. He plays with great anticipation and has active hands in passing lanes, generating several turnovers and steals a game. Earned All-District 28-5A First Team
#10 – Jason Osonma (6-2) – Clark
Osonma is a high energy player who makes an impact on both offense and defense for the Cougars. He does a great job of attacking the basket and is a smooth and creative finisher, including a nice floater in the paint. Has the ability to become a high volume scorer. Osonma is also an aggressive rebounder who puts himself in good positioning to grab boards. Plays with great toughness on defense and was able to be a disruptive force by creating steals and turnovers.
#11 – Darius Sherman (6-4) – Wagner
Sherman is blowing up on the grassroots circuits this summer with his impressive play with the ProSkills San Antonio squad. A highly athletic guard who has the versatility to also play small forward, Sherman has a great frame and is incredibly explosive in his movements. He does a great job of playing above the rim and is a powerful dunker. He also has developed a nice mid-range shot. Sherman is a high ceiling prospect who could see a rise in the rankings with a big senior season for Wagner.
#12 – Jeb Brysacz (6-1) – Alamo Heights
Brysacz led the Mules in scoring during his impressive junior season averaging 13.0 points a game, while adding 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest. Brysacz is an elite shooter who has extended range from beyond-the-arc. He does really well in catch-and-shoot situations from three-point territory and can hit pull-up jumpers and moving shots from the mid-range. Shows good court vision when dishing to open teammates. Earned All-District 27-5A First Team
#13 – Tyler Gertson (5-11) – Marshall
Gertson absolutely lit up opponents from beyond-the-arc during his junior season hitting 49% of his shots from three-point range. The sharpshooting guard averaged 11.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for Marshall. Gertson can score the rock in a variety of ways from deep, including catch-and-shoot, pull-up shots, and step-back threes. He’s also developed a nice mid-range jumper and floater in the paint. In addition to his scoring ability, Gertson is willing to battle in the paint for rebounds.
#14 – Jayden Sanchez (5-11) – Fredericksburg
A playmaking shooting guard who can fill up the stat sheet, Sanchez averaged 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game during his junior season with Fredericksburg. A lethal three-point shooter with a pretty shot, Sanchez excelled as a catch-and-shoot scorer who can hit from anywhere beyond-the-arc. He is also a pesky defender who totaled 82 steals over 35 games played last year. Earned All-District 28-4A First Team & Co-Defensive MVP
#15 – Trace Decker (6-2) – Bandera
Decker led Bandera in scoring during his junior season totaling 268 points and averaging 10.7 a game. Decker has a pretty stroke from three-point range, added with a pull-up jumper from both deep and the mid-range. Can finish through contact at the basket. He is an aggressive rebounder who knows how to high-point the ball. On defense, Decker flashes as a shot-blocker who has good anticipation. Earned All-District 28-4A First Team
