#1 AJ Casey AJ Casey 6'8" | PF Whitney Young | 2022 State #55 Nation IL (Tinley Park)
The 6’8” Tinley Park power forward headlines not only this list of South Suburbs players, but he is the premier prospect in the state’s rising junior class. The four man has a tremendous combination of size, skill, mobility, athleticism, and upside. He made major growth in his game as a sophomore playing more on the perimeter while also still showcasing his big time game around the hoop.
#2 Robbie Avila Robbie Avila 6'9" | PF Oak Forest | 2022 State #225 Nation IL (Oak Forest)
Avila and Casey have been linked together for years. The Oak Forest 2022 power forward is a long and lanky post that can stretch the floor with his shooting. Also works well around the basket with his sound footwork and touch. Rebounded very well this past season for Oak Forest which had one of its best seasons in recent history.
#3 Xavier Lewis Xavier Lewis 6'7" | PF Tf South | 2022 State IL (TF South)
This combo forward from TF South is a very intriguing prospect because of his raw physical tools. Brings so much quickness and athleticism to the table when playing in the paint. He is an absolute force when getting out in the open floor! Can’t wait to see where his game develops over the next 12 months.
#4 Emondrek Ford Emondrek Ford 6'8" | PF Bloom | 2022 State IL (Bloom)
Ford waited patiently behind the best class in Bloom history and now that they have all graduated it is his turn. The long and rangy left handed power forward has length, athleticism, and defensive prowess. Excellent shot blocker that rebounds well on both ends.
#5 Christian Meeks Christian Meeks 6'6" | SF Homewood Flossmoor | 2022 State IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Meeks is a high-motor combo forward that plays bigger than his height because of his athleticism, tenacity, and will to do whatever he needs to do. Excellent rebounder and defender. Offensively he scores a lot off his energy and in transition.
