Recruiting Report: 2021 Jaden Harris
This time of year we always see breakout players enhance their recruitment and 2021 guard Jaden Harris Jaden Harris 6'3" | CG Norcross | 2021 State GA is a prospect that fits that category. Last weekend I was able to watch him lead his Team Huncho get an upset win over Game Elite in the Tip Off Classic. Harris explained how it was great to be back on the court as it was his first game since the pandemic.
“It went really well. It was my first game back since the high school season so it felt great to be back on the court.”
Going up against a ton of high major talent on Game Elite, Harris was smooth with the basketball and let the game come to him. He excelled at finishing in traffic when attacking the rim and was able to get to the free throw line constantly.
“I always want to get to the rim the first and I like to get to the line but if needed I can pull up and just whenever my team needs a basket, I can go and get a basket.”
Ever since the Tip Off Classic, he has seen a ton of new high major schools enter his recruitment.
“The recruitment process has been good, I have been talking to a lot of coaches and they have been in touch with my coaches. I am hearing from Georgia, San Diego, USC, Western Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Miami.”
When asked who is prioritizing the 6’4 guard, he said “Georgia, USC and Georgia Tech.” He broke down each of those schools with us.
Georgia: “It is a real good program, I went to a lot of games this past season and have been to some since he first got there and the program is really changing and I think they are getting a lot better than they were when he first got there.”
Georgia Tech: “Josh Pastner wants me to come in and be a Josh Okogie. He wants me to come in and play with my high motor and help them win.”
USC: “I have been talking to them for a long time. I wouldn’t mind going to the west coast. It is a good environment and good program so it is something I am definitely interested in.”
