Lakeshore Elite has joined forces with MBA (Michigan Basketball Academy) and will play under MBA Lakeshore. They will field 2 teams: MBA Lakeshore Black and MBA Lakeshore Blue. MBA Lakeshore Black started off the grassroots season by going 3-1 at the Ft. Wayne Gym Rats Summer Tuneup Days. Lakeshore Black has a deep roster loaded with varsity players. They have shooters up and down the roster and will consistently look to push the pace.
ROSTER
Brayden Gable Brayden Gable 6'4" | SF Grandville | 2022 State MI (2022, Grandville)
“Gable played extensive minutes for the Bulldogs on varsity. Gable plays multiple positions and is extremely athletic. Gable is long, quick, and can jump out of the gym. Gable is most dangerous in transition and can extend the defense with his outside shooting.”
– Coach Haglund
Nic Stump Nic Stump 6'5" | PF Grand Haven | 2022 State MI (2022, Grand Haven)
“Stump played significant minutes for the Bucs this year on varsity. Stump has a great inside-out game. Stump’s mid range jumper is a dangerous weapon, however his ability to run with the guards has proven to be an effective tool for him as well. Stump’s body is also changing. He’s longer and leaner, which has helped him on the defensive end.” – Coach Haglund
Kobe Haglund Kobe Haglund 6'3" | PG West Ottawa | 2022 State MI (2022, West Ottowa)
“Kobe played up on varsity for the Panthers this year. Haglund likes to shoot the 3 and has the ability to harass other guards with his pressure defense. Haglund has put on weight and size since the Panthers loss to Hudsonville in districts, which will serve him well next year.” – Coach Haglund
Kobe Kambestad Kobe Kambestad 5'11" | PG West Catholic | 2022 State MI (2022, West Catholic)
Kambestad is another varsity player. Kambestad can shoot the ball from anywhere and gives Lakeshore Black another ball handler in the back court. Kambestad is the ultimate team player and does everything to help his team succeed.” – Coach Haglund
Brady Bosma (2022, West Ottawa)
“Another Bosma at WO, who made a huge impact for the Panthers his sophomore season. Bosma is long and lengthy and is extremely gifted on the offensive end. Bosma can shoot it or drive it to the rim. Bosma also gets out in transition well and finishes with the best of them.” – Coach Haglund
Nick Henry (2022, Caledonia)
“Henry is a load inside at 6’7″. He uses his size and strength well to get great position inside and has a variety of post moves. He moves his feet well for his size. He is a willing passer and has the ability to protect the rim by blocking shots on the other end of the floor.” – Coach Haglund
Reid Reimink (2022, West Ottawa)
“Reimink can shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. Reimink scores in bunches and showed in Indiana that he has the ability to make an impact defensively. Reimink is the ultimate floor spacer and we are excited to have him back with Lakeshore Black.” – Coach Haglund
Colin Shriver (2022, West Ottawa)
“Shriver is long, lanky, and athletic. Played significant minutes on varsity for the Panthers. Shriver uses his size and length to create advantages for himself. Shriver can go down low or play the point guard position at 6’6″.” – Coach Haglund
Jack Lamancusa (2022, Rockford)
“Lamancusa played heavy varsity minutes for the Rams this year. Lamancusa has a high basketball IQ and can stretch the floor with his 3 point shooting. Lamancusa is a tough defender and rebounds well at his position. Excited to have Jack back with Black.” – Coach Haglund
Michael Morris (2022, West Catholic)
“Morris had to sit out a year of basketball, due to transferring to West Catholic. Morris has put on weight and has grown a few inches since last year. Morris is a slasher/scoring guard who plays multiple positions. Morris likes to get out in transition and finish around the rim.” – Coach Haglund
TEAM GOALS
“Both Black and Blue share the same goals this season, which are to help prepare each and every member of the team to be the best varsity basketball player he can be, as well as putting out an extremely competitive team that plays basketball the ‘right’ way. Additionally, another goal is to help as many players as possible achieve their collegiate dreams. ” – Coach Haglund
