This tournament was a fantastic showcase of all of the talent present in the midwest, many of which will receive a major uptick in recruiting! Be on the lookout for the rest of my coverage from this event!
Tyler Borowski Tyler Borowski 6'2" | PG Appleton East | 2022 State WI 2022 6’2 Wisconsin Crusaders AD 16U- Appleton East High School
Tyler is an intelligent basketball player with a real heads up nature to his game. He is always looking to create the best offense on the floor even if it is not for himself. He possesses real point guard qualities and the confidence that comes with running a team. He is a great shooter from deep and is someone who can create driving lanes for his teammates just from the fear he generates from knocking down three-pointers a few steps behind the line.
Parker Prahl Parker Prahl 6'4" | SG Iola Scandanavia | 2022 State WI 2022 6’2 Wisconsin Blizzard Donaldson 16U- Iola Scandanavia High School
Parker is a quick guard with a tight handle that allows him to get by seemingly anyone. His crossover shifted too many people to count this weekend and displayed great control and ability to shoot off the bounce. I was tremendously impressed with his range off of a live dribble, yet calmness and intelligence to utilize the midrange when it was opened up for him.
Micah Causey Micah Causey 5'9" | PG St. Thomas More | 2022 WI 2022 5’9 Wisconsin RAP 16U Anth- Thomas More High School
Micah is a relentless point guard with a tremendous ability to finish at the rim. He has no fear when going up with bigger defenders, and is great at finishing on either side of the rim. He is great at absorbing and fighting through contact at the rim and his long arms for his size allow him to affect both sides of the ball. He is great at sliding his feet and keeping his hands active to create turnovers and disruptions for his opponents.
Lamar Smith 2022 6’1 Wisconsin Focus Travel 16U White- Wauwatosa East High School
Lamar is a smart point guard who understands how to use tempo to his advantage. He loves to get out and run with the basketball and play with speed and intensity. He is great at getting to the rim and kicking out to open teammates. He is especially effective with this on the fast break which he uses to his advantage when the defense collapses around him in the paint.
Luke Pautz 6’3 2022 Wisconsin Blizzard Donaldson- Roncalli High School
Luke is a lanky guard with great shooting touch, his ability to space the floor opens up driving lanes for his teammates. It also opens up his own game and allows him to get to the rim with ease with simple head fakes, jabs and pump fakes. His offensive game is really expansive which is very impressive at this age but I would look to improve his strength and frame and work on off-hand finishing and handle.
