Osiris Grady Osiris Grady 6'7" | PF Coronado | 2023 #195 Nation UT 6’7 C Nevada Prep (#2PHN 2023) From Center to Power Forward – Defensively Grady protects the rim like a 5 and boards like a 4. Offensively he is quietly developing the skills to play away from the basket from 18 feet in. If he does play Center next season, I expect it to be only because a true 5 man wasn’t placed around him.
Isiaac Boykin Isiaac Boykin 6'2" | SG Desert Pines | 2023 State NV 6’2 SG Desert Pines 2023 (#21PHN 2023) From Shooting Guard to Point Guard – To realistically get on the floor for DP Boykin is going to have to be able to play the 2 for the next couple of years. He does have PG skills though including, a decent handle, good paint touch ability, and an extraordinary knack for finishing through contact.
Joshua Jefferson Joshua Jefferson 6'8" | PF Liberty | 2022 State #158 Nation NV 6’7 PF Liberty 2022 (#2PHN 2022) From Power Forward to Small Forward (featured image) – Toward the end of the high school season, Jefferson showed flashes of perimeter skills. He can handle the ball when in pressure release situations and is rapidly developing his 3 point shooting. He may be forced to play the 4 out of necessity but he has a 3 man skill set.
Andrick Santillan Andrick Santillan 6'4" | SG Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’4 SG Cheyenne 2022 (#7PHN 2022) From Shooting Guard to Point Guard – I’m really looking forward to watching Santillian play with the ball in his hand more. He is a willing passer with good vision, when you combine his size, I could see the potential for him being a dynamic playmaker at the 1.
Dontrell Johnson Dontrell Johnson 6'5" | SF Trinity | 2022 State NV 6’5 Power Forward 2022 (#11PHN 2022) From Power Forward to Small Forward – Johnson is probably the one player I’m most excited to see next season. He’s unique because while he mostly defends bigs, he gets his buckets from his slashing ability. In order for him to make a complete transition from the 4 to the 3, he’s going to have to continue to improve the range on his jump shot.
Declan Sawin Declan Sawin 6'1" | SF Founders | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF The Founders School 2022 (#31PHN 2022) From Small Forward to Shooting Guard – Swain actually plays the 5 for his high school team. During the grassroots season, he handles the ball a little more, but he’s still playing in the frontcourt. He’ll need to tighten his handle and lean how to create a little more separation on his jumper in order to transition into the backcourt. Most importantly he’ll have to prove he can defend quality two guards.
Gianni Rodriguez Gianni Rodriguez 6'3" | SF Sierra Vista | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Sierra Vista 2022 (#39PHN 2022) From Small Forward to Shooting Guard – The question for him like Swain will be can he defend the position he downsizes to? Offensively Rodriguez already has two guard skills. A crafty player that can score in a variety of ways, he has an underrated first step and good 1 on 1 skills.
Anthony Swift Anthony Swift 6'6" | SF Desert Pines | 2021 #189 Nation CA-S 6’6 PF Desert Pines 2021 (#5PHN 2021) From Power Forward to Small Forward – Swift is money with his jumper from about 16 feet, and defending 3’s is not an issue for him. He’ll have to show the ability to handle on the perimeter, and create plays for himself in transition but a downsize is definitely doable.
