Player Of The Weekend – C/O 2023
Now it’s time for the class of 2022.
* If you’re not listed and had a big weekend, it’s just because I missed it. My fault, not yours. Stay in my ear and make sure I see you next time around.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Drew Barrie Drew Barrie 6'4" | SG Midland | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Midland, Parallel 45 2022)
Barrie was a consistent offensive threat all weekend, averaging about 16 points per game. He showed the ability to score from multiple levels, utilizing his increased strength.
Tyler Degroote Tyler Degroote 6'7" | SG Schoolcraft | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Schoolcraft, MBA)
DeGroote sent a huge message this weekend. He has the size to be a highly regarded wing prospect, but showed that he can hit from behind the arc. DeGroote hit 13 total triples in 3 games.
Calvin Marshall Calvin Marshall 6'6" | SF Western International | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Detroit Edison, REACH Legends 2022)
Marshall displayed his superior athleticism when attacking the rim. He’ll be one of the best finishers in the class of 2022.
Evan Solomon (2022, PG, Charlevoix, Parallel 45 2022)
Solomon had a really nice weekend, especially on Friday. He has all the intangibles to be a very nice prospect and next level player.
Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Tri-Unity Christian, UTS Elite 16u)
Titus was really, really good this weekend. Good enough that it was really tough to put him as an Honorable Mention. Titus had his way with defenses throughout the weekend, even notching a 31 point game.
Chansey Willis Chansey Willis 6'2" | PG Detroit King | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Detroit King, REACH Legends 2022)
You have to watch Willis to truly appreciate his game. He’s a defensive workhorse that can set the tone for his team. Willis is an excellent floor general that can get buckets if needed.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Treyvon Lewis Treyvon Lewis 6'5" | SF Ferndale | 2022 State MI (2022, G/F, Ferndale, REACH Legends 2022)
Lewis might not have had the biggest numbers, but I think he may have flashed the biggest game. He’s a 2 way player and looks like an elite wing in Michigan. Lewis is strong, creative, and quick. He’s an incredibly tough matchup for any opposing coach. Lewis showed a HUGE upside this weekend.
