Joe has grown a ton over the last year. Added 3+ inches since the last time I saw him but has great mobility and speed for his size. Looks and feels like a stretch wing that will play faced up. With the handles still like a guard, he has a chance to turn into something pretty special. Didn’t drive it a ton but want to see him get kickouts and break his defender down. Has the touch from the wing and can mix it up inside. Did go at the rim a bunch for boards and was impactful with his length. Big change for him in the last year.
Owen Shively Owen Shively 6'4" | SF Bishop Dwenger | 2022 State IN – 6’4 SF 2022 – Bishop Dwenger (IN) / Indy Heat Red 2022
Owen looked good early on with his shooting. Seemed to get the touch running quick and he had a couple jumpers where he had to make a move to get in position. Big frame with strength but has the height to ply 2/3/4 at the right level. Impressed with how he has kind of developed into that wing role. Thought he would mold into an undersized forward but looks the part on the wing with his improved motor and agility.
Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 6'2" | PG Fort Wayne Northrop | 2022 State IN – 6’2 PG 2022 – Fort Wayne Carroll (IN) / Indy Heat Red 2022
Jalen has made one of the biggest developments of his frame that I have seen so far. Going from 5’10 to 6’2 and adding good strength in the process, he looks ready to breakout. His motor and IQ were on display along with increased athleticism. Had a few tough dunks at the rim and rounded it out with a solid jumper that should play. He’s a north and south guard who can distribute that now has the physical tools to play a couple levels up from what we had him a year ago.
Dominic Cardwell – 6’6 PF 2022 – Huntington North / Gym Rats 2022
Big wing with some ability to play down low. Solid ball handling for his size and capable of knocking down a jumper. Good amount of strength especially in his lower half. Can shield and block out down low. Could be built for some smaller schools as a 4/5 but has the upside to be on the wing to play a straight 4-man at a higher level with development. Interesting prospect to track in a light class of talent.
Raedyn Foust – 6’7 PF 2022 – Northeastern (IN) / Gym Rats 2022
Foust is a tall, thin forward with mobility and agility to play out on the wing a bit. Has some room to grow with a post game but looked like he could blossom with some legit strength added. Looks like he could be a solid stretch forward and has some touch on the wing. Want to see him look to post and what he can do down low but he still needs the strength to do more.
Tobey Billups – 6’0 PG 2022 – Connersville (IN) / Gym Rats 2022
Solid guard who is built around his jumper. Really good as a catch-and-shoot guy. Looks maybe like a combo guard right now but if that shooting ability is locked in, teams will just try and fit him in however they can. Decent size for an on-ball guard but will need to see what he looks like in some other settings.
Zane Burke Zane Burke 6'2" | SG Blackhawk Christian | 2021 State IN – 6’3 SG 2021 – Blackhawk Christian (IN) / Indy Heat Red 2021
Zane looks quite a bit more filled out. Added weight and strength throughout his frame and is still moving pretty well. Good size on the wing and his touch is pretty high-level on his jumper. Level will matter with him as he has the ability to mix and match with his frame. Could develop inside as a guy who will post up on guys, slip and slash, while still maintaining his scoring from the perimeter.
Sean Black Sean Black 5'10" | PG Warren Central | 2021 State IN 5’10 PG 2021 – Warren Central (IN) / Gym Rats 2021
Sean looked pretty good in our first viewing in a while. His jumper was the star as he hit quite a few step-back jumpers. Still needs to keep his momentum going at the rim to shoot in rhythm but can hit a good enough clip right now. Still as quick as every and seems like he is going to be a pain to defend more so now than a year ago. His motor looks better when he is the only on-ball guard on the floor. Gives him confidence and he rises with it.
Blake Sisley Blake Sisley 6'8" | PF Heritage Hills | 2021 State IN – 6’8 PF 2021 – Heritage Hills (IN) / Indy Heat 2021 EYBL
Blake looked really good this weekend. Stronger and great in the offense finding slips to the rim and utilizing his face-up game. He’s really good at catching on the way to the rim and while he isn’t a big enough shooter yet, defenders struggle to keep up with him. Solid post-up game but didn’t have to play to that too much. Looks like he might have grown just a bit and hit 6’8 now. Will need to see I’m pack on the strength but he looked pretty refined in an offense he hasn’t been with much yet.
