Programs like St. Anthony’s, the Patrick School and Roselle Catholic are all some of the top programs in New Jersey. The list of guards from Non-Public B is huge as players like Kyrie Irving, Bobby Hurley and Isaiah Briscoe have all competed for a sectional title. Here are the top under the radar guards in Non-Public B.

Dionte Johnson Dionte Johnson 6'0" | PG Patrick School | 2022 State NJ was also an option for this list, but the recently named team captain started for the Celtics last season. The Sacred Heart transfer is a lightning quick guard who can blow by his defender. Washington has a good handle and knows how to finish around the rim. He is a solid on-ball defender and uses his quick hands to get steals. Washington is a good addition to the Patrick School lineup as the Celtics looks to take home the Non-Public B North title.
Jadin Collins Jadin Collins 6'1" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2023 State NJ , PG Roselle Catholic 2023
The Lions have to replace CJ Wilcher CJ Wilcher 6'5" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2020 #95 Nation NJ , Niels Lane Niels Lane 6'5" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2020 State #72 Nation NJ , Richie Greaves Richie Greaves 6'0" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2020 State NJ and Ahmad Robinson Ahmad Robinson 5'11" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2020 State NJ in the backcourt, but they return a solid 2023 duo in Collins and Simeon Wilcher Simeon Wilcher 6'4" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2023 State #17 Nation NJ . The former is a tough on-ball defender who knows how to move his feet. Collins has a good handle and makes plays with the ball in his hands. He knows how to finish around the basket and is a solid passer. Wilcher and Collins are a talented guard duo as they are looking to help Roselle Catholic win its fourth straight Non-Public B North title.
Ryan Pettit Ryan Pettit 6'2" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 SG Rutgers Prep 2022
The Argonauts were one of the top teams in New Jersey last season and they should be again next season with Villanova commit Trey Patterson Trey Patterson 6'7" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State #36 Nation NJ and Noah Harris Noah Harris 6'0" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2021 State NJ coming back. Petit may not be the biggest name, but he provides head coach Matt Bloom with toughness and defense. The 6’2 lefty dives on the floor for loose balls, takes charges and plays with great instincts on the defensive end. Petit has a quick release on his shot, but can also attack the basket. Rutgers Prep should be the team to beat in Non-Public B South with Patterson, Harris and Petit coming back.
Martin Anguelov Martin Anguelov 6'1" | PG Wildwood Catholic | 2021 State NJ , 6’0 CG Wildwood Catholic Academy 2021
The Crusaders need to replace All-State performers Taj Thweatt Taj Thweatt 6'7" | PF Wildwood Catholic | 2020 State #180 Nation NJ and Jahlil White Jahlil White 6'6" | SG Wildwood Catholic | 2020 State #258 Nation NJ . Anguelov had a strong performance in the sectional title game and is ready to be the go-to scorer in 2020-21. The 6’0 guard is a knockdown shooter from behind the arc and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Anguelov is an underrated passer and is an instinctive defender. Wildwood Catholic Academy needs Anguelov to be the guy if the Crusaders want to repeat as sectional champions.
Braxton Jones Braxton Jones 6'0" | PG Roselle Catholic | 2022 State NJ , 5’10 PG Trenton Catholic 2022
VCU commit Jamir Watkins Jamir Watkins 6'7" | SG Trenton Catholic | 2020 State #220 Nation NJ powered Trenton Catholic throughout the season and the Iron Mikes will miss his presence. Jones had more of a complimentary role in 2019-20, but is ready for bigger things next season. The 5’10 guard has a good release on his shot and can get hot from deep quickly. Jones is not just a shooter as he is capable of putting the ball on the floor and scoring in the mid-range. His ability to score from the perimeter should give Trenton Catholic a jolt in 2020-21.
