This offseason has been eventful, and there’s no telling what moves are still coming. But, before the Prep Hoops Circuit kicks off the grassroots season, PHW looks at the major plays of the early offseason.

Early Starts:
Colleges have made significant moves in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 classes. Names such as Tayshawn Bridges (Offer: Grambling State - 2024), Nacir Beamon (Offer: Grambling State - 2024), John Kinzinger (Offer: Toledo - 2023), and Braylen BlueBraylenBlue6'3" | PGMadison Memorial | 2023StateWI (Offer: Jackson State - 2023) are paving the way for the younger grades while plenty of 2022 players are well established with offers.

Martin Reclassifies:
Whitewater center Jake MartinJakeMartin6'11" | CWhitewater | 2022WI reclassified from the 2021 to 2022 class in a move that could pay dividends down the road. At 7’0" with ample strength, there’s plenty of untapped potential, and an extra year can help him reach it. His footwork, quickness, and post prowess need fine tuning, but he showed flashes of using his body to grab boards and put back missed shots this fall. This move will be crucial in developing various areas of his game and giving colleges another reason to offer.
