The West Central Wildcats put together wins over West Central United, Iowa elite, All Iowa Attack Black, and Minnesota Grit. Their one loss was to the Minnesota Suns. Thompson and Loge controlled games up front especially once the team got used to playing together again.
Jackson Loge Jackson Loge 6'7" | C Morris Area | 2022 State MN of Morris Area (6’8, PF). Jackson was solid in all the games that were played. Loge impressed with his passing ability. He was consistently making the perfect pass to a cutter or kicking out to an open shooter. Another key piece of Loge’s game was that he hit one or two threes in each game played. Loge was already a constant deep post producer, then he added the makes at the arc.
Matt Thomson of Hancock (6’7, PF/C). Matt averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds last year for Hancock. Matt is still raw but has so much potential. A player who is learning and improving every game from inside and the perimeter. Matt has a very nice jump shot as he shot 38 percent from three this past year. Definitely a kid who college coaches will get to know soon if he continues to improve his game.
Thomas Tiernan Thomas Tiernan 6'1" | PG Morris | 2022 State MN of Morris Area (6’0 Guard). Tiernan averaged nearly ten points a game last winter as a sophomore. Many feel that Thomas is one of the most underrated kids in the area, and in the class. Runs the point for Morris and has a real good connection with Loge. Best jump shot on the Wildcats team and he competes the whole game. Every coach would love having this kid on their team.
Tate Olson Tate Olson 6'5" | SF New York Mills | 2022 State MN of New York Mills. (6’3 PG). Tate is coming off of a 21 point, 11 board, and 6.5 assist per game season last year. Olson has great court vision as he led the team in assists all five games last week. Did a great job running the point at the Ames tournament. Setting his teammates up for easy baskets and really pushing the tempo. Has the ability to finish through contact at a high level. Tate has a high ceiling if he can continue to add things to his game.
