Alton Dubois 6’3 SG Supreme Court 2021 – The man was a rim protecting guard. Dubois used his length and athleticism to seemingly swat away every shot attempt. When he wasn’t doing that, the 6’3 athlete was getting to the rim at will and scoring in transition.
Malachi Murrell Malachi Murrell 6'2" | SF Shadow Hills | 2022 CA-S 6’2 SF Gamepoint 2022 (#112PHSC 2022) – Murrell is one of my under the radar sleepers. A Positionless player that impacts the game in a variety of ways. Murrell rebounded, defended and threw down a few nasty dunks for good measure.
Mike McNair 6’2 SG Gamepoint IE 2023 – McNair came out strapping. The shooting guard was just that, a shooter. He knocked down several deep threes on the day, off catch and shoot action.
Jaden Geron 6’8 SF Gamepoint 2021 – The recent Rice commit put on a show in the showcase game. He used his versatility to handle, shoot and make plays. He was the leading scorer for GP with 19, helping them to a showcase game W.
Brett Hardt JR 6’4 PG Arizona Select 2021 (#23PHA 2021) – I was going back and forth about what position Hardt was. On Friday, he left no doubt that he was a pure PG. He played both sides of the ball, and seemed to have it on a string. The lefty set up teammates, and made sure to get his as he guided AZ Select to a showcase game victory.
Jaden Hardy Jaden Hardy 6'4" | CG Coronado | 2021 State #4 Nation NV 6’5 CG TCB 2021 (#1PHN 2021) – They say pro’s make shots. So I guess that makes Hardy a Pro. Dude seemed to knock down shots from all angles. He plays the game with supreme confidence, and never seems to be out of range. He helped lead TCB to a convincing Showcase game victory.
Will McClendon Will McClendon 6'4" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2021 State #42 Nation NV 6’3 SG Orangemen 2021 (#3PHN 2021) – McClendon didn’t have his fastball, but he showed why he’s a gamer. He defended and knocked down just enough shots to allow the Orangemen to escape with a hard fought victory over Prodigy.
