We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.
Creighton Moricsh Creighton Moricsh 6'7" | SF Spirit Lake | 2021 State IA – Spirit Lake
With plenty of young talent returning to the roster, Spirit Lake has high hopes for the coming year.
That includes leading rebounder Creighton Moricsh Creighton Moricsh 6'7" | SF Spirit Lake | 2021 State IA , who recorded 139 boards at exactly seven per game last year.
Moricsh also scored 314 points on 45 percent shooting from the field with a team-high 52 made three-pointers. He hit nearly 56 percent of his shots from deep and also made almost 80 percent of his free throws.
Mark Eddie – Storm Lake
Storm Lake’s leading scorer will return this winter in Mark Eddie.
The Class of 2021 Eddie accounted for 255 points in 21 games, shooting 37 percent from the field with a team-high 46 made three-pointers. He also made nearly 80 percent of his free throws.
Eddie chipped in 43 rebounds, 37 assists, 11 steals and a handful of blocks for the Tornadoes, who won seven games.
Brayden Farver Brayden Farver 6'3" | SG Cherokee | 2021 State IA – Cherokee
As a junior, Brayden Farver Brayden Farver 6'3" | SG Cherokee | 2021 State IA was a consistent scorer for Cherokee, recording 222 points on 44 percent shooting from the floor.
Farver, who also shot over 40 percent from the three-point line with a team-best 46 made triples, added 89 rebounds, 40 assists and 20 steals.
A handful of players return with Farver who gained starting experience for the Braves last winter.
Matt Christensen – Estherville Lincoln Central
Estherville Lincoln Central’s Matt Christensen will look to cash in on a big senior season this coming winter.
Christensen recorded 155 points with 81 rebounds, 24 steals, 13 blocks and 11 assists last year for the Midgets, shooting almost 62 percent from the field.
If he is able to add some long-range game to his skills, coaches will definitely be taking note of Christensen’s talent.
Jamuo Gatwech Jamuo Gatwech 5'11" | PG Storm Lake | 2021 State IA – Storm Lake
Some late-season struggles kept Storm Lake from recording a winning record, but the Tornadoes return quite a bit in 2020-21 including Jamuo Gatwech Jamuo Gatwech 5'11" | PG Storm Lake | 2021 State IA .
Gatwech, a Class of 2021 prospect, led the team with 72 assists last year, averaging almost 3.5 per game.
In 21 games, Gatwech scored 221 points with 54 rebounds and 43 steals, shooting over 48 percent from the field. He knocked down 16 three-pointers and nearly 70 percent of his free throw attempts.
