Kyreese Willingham Kyreese Willingham 6'5" | SF Waseca | 2021 State MN (6’5 2021 W, MN Heat Tauer)- Another wing I’m excited to get a look at this summer, Kyreese Willingham Kyreese Willingham 6'5" | SF Waseca | 2021 State MN has the chance to play his way into a D1 prospect. Already holding a few offers at the D2 level, Kyreese has the frame and athletic abilities to play at the highest level of college ball. His shooting range extends well beyond the arc, and he’s more than capable of shooting off the catch or dribble. Defensively he’s also one of the top shot blocking wings in the state, and is capable of guarding multiple spots with his length and quickness.
Tre Holloman Tre Holloman 6'2" | PG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2022 State #57 Nation MN (6’2 2022 PG, Howard Pulley 16u)- Holloman plays with Howard Pulley’s 16u squad, but his team will be playing up in the 17u bracket. In doing so, the nationally ranked point guard will have an exciting match-up with Wisconsin commit Chucky Hepburn on Sunday, in a chance to prove himself against elite 2021 competition. Holloman excels at putting his teammates into positions to score with his speed and passing vision, and is a tough as nails defender with no problem defending 94 feet.
Jaelen Treml Jaelen Treml 6'4" | SF Hopkins | 2021 State MN (6’4 2021 G, MN Select Ohnstad)- One of the more versatile players in the class, Jaelen can go from running the point one game, to playing as a small forward in the next. His smooth handles combined with his 6’4 frame make him a player who can create for his teammates or slash to the basket and finish through contesting big men. Treml had a strong weekend in his summer debut on the Prep Hoops Circuit, and with another strong showing he could boost his stock as a scholarship level prospect.
Broden Lien Broden Lien 6'8" | PF ISA | 2021 MN (6’8 2021 F, D1 Minnesota)- Broden recently announced he will be going the prep school route as a senior, and the D1 offered forward will have a chance to prove himself against high level competition in Iowa. Broden moves well for his size and has a strong frame that allows him to finish through contact with ease around the rim. Add in the ability to stretch the floor with his shooting, and he possesses some of the key attributes that D1 schools look for in a forward.
Joshua Strong Joshua Strong 6'0" | PG Champlin Park | 2021 State MN (6’1 2021 PG, Minnesota Heat Tauer)- One of the state’s top 2021 point guard prospects, Strong is another player who could pick up a few more scholarship offers with a strong showing. Both on and off the court, Josh is one of the smartest players in the state of Minnesota, and always makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands. He operates well in the pick & roll, and has a quick burst to blow by his man and get to the rim.
Connor Chappell Connor Chappell 6'6" | PF Orono | 2021 State MN (6’6 2021 F, MN Crossfire Stone)- Connor Chappell Connor Chappell 6'6" | PF Orono | 2021 State MN is another player who had a strong showing at the #HardWorkSZN Kickoff in Appleton last weekend, and could further boost his stock this weekend in Iowa. A strong framed and mobile forward, Connor strives at completing around the rim at a high percentage. Connor can use his strong frame to finish through contact, and has the bounce to get up and finish above the rim. Add in aggression on the boards and he’s a strong D3 prospect with potential to play his way to the D2 or NAIA level.
Payton Mogire Payton Mogire 6'8" | C Maple Grove | 2022 State MN (6’9 2022 F, Howard Pulley 16u)- Payton Mogire Payton Mogire 6'8" | C Maple Grove | 2022 State MN is another prospect who will be playing against older competition this weekend, and is one of the more intriguing players in the 2022 class. He has an impressive frame with solid athleticism, combined with the ability to step outside and knock down threes. He’ll have the opportunity to face off against some of the best competition he’s played against until this point, so it will be interesting to watch how he performs.
