Brian Taylor Brian Taylor 6'4" | PG DeSmet | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Gateway: An athletic two-way point guard from DeSmet who impacted the game at both ends throughout the weekend. His defensive instincts and anticipation are elite as he can guard you straight up, dart the passing lanes and pick pockets. He is a good facilitator with a nice mid-range jumper and some explosive leaping ability.
Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 5’11″ Gateway: The scoring point guard from South Iron was a bucket from all three levels during the weekend. He displayed his deep shooting range, but also his ability to score on determined drives as he can go either left or right. He can also create his own shot off the dribble. He scored a game-high 23 points in the 16U championship game. He recently picked up his first offer from Division II Southwest Baptist.
Nate Straughter Nate Straughter 6'3" | SG Chaminade | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Gateway: A scoring wing from Chaminade who really ate on offense during the weekend as he found openings inside to get buckets. Although, he is a guard, he was a matchup problem in his teams four and five-guard alignment. He is a good slasher who can hit perimeter jumpers and get out in transition.
EJ Williams 6’0″ Gateway-Knights: A fine all-purpose guard from Westminster who had a very productive weekend with his aggressive play. He is a solid ball handler who did a good job attacking the basket and scoring on slashing drives. He plays good defense and also rebounded well for his size.
Frankie May Frankie May 6'3" | SG Lutheran St. Charles | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Gateway-Knights: A rangy combo guard from Lutheran St. Charles who attacks the basket well and can score from many different angles on his drives. He is a solid ball handler who will also drill his share of 3-pointers to compliment his effective slashing game.
Casen Lawrence Casen Lawrence 5'10" | PG Westminster | 2022 State MO 5’11 Gateway: A smooth point guard from Westminster who operates well with the ball as a facilitator but can also excel off the ball with his ability to score and hit the 3-pointer. Excellent feel for the game with good court vision.
Adam Sausele Adam Sausele 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2022 State MO 6’2 Gateway-Knights: An impressive young guard from Vianney who displayed a very nice 3-point stroke throughout the weekend. I liked how he moved without the basketball and his overall hustle in general.
