Brian Mathews Brian Mathews 6'8" | C Depaul Prep | 2021 State IL (HIT – 2021)
It was a big weekend for the DePaul Prep standout. He is a strong bodied classic five that anchored on both ends. He scored an offer from Western Illinois after the event. Also recently secured a scholarship from UW-Milwaukee. Mathews tells us North Dakota and South Dakota are talking to him a lot. Also holds offers from UMass, Youngstown State, and Chicago State.
AJ Storr AJ Storr 6'3" | SG Kankakee | 2021 IL (Illinois Hoopstars – 2021)
Storr continues to see his stock soar this spring. The powerful scoring wing from Kankakee tells PHI he holds one offer right now from Chicago State. He is in communication with SIU-Edwardsville, Purdue Northwest, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Robert Morris, Grambling State, and Eastern Washington.
Shane Miller Shane Miller 6'2" | PG Springfield | 2021 State IL (Illinois Hoopstars – 2021)
Miller is a strong guard that has some shake to his game. He tells us he has been in touch a lot with University of Indianapolis and Illinois-Springfield. Also had various degrees of interest from Wofford, Winona State, Missouri-St. Louis, West Florida, Illinois College, Lindenwood, and Pittsburg State.
Donald Coats Donald Coats 6'7" | SF Thornton | 2021 IN (Illinois Hoopstars – 2021)
Coats made one of the earliest calls in recent memory for JUCO as last week he committed to junior college power John A Logan. The Thornton forward should develop into a D1 guy after a couple years at Logan with his combo forward skill set.
Aaron McQueen Aaron McQueen 6'5" | PF Lane Tech | 2021 State IL (Illinois Jaguars – 2021)
McQueen is a highly productive four man from Lane Tech. He told us while he doesn’t have any offers he has been talking actively with Loras, Case Western, University of Chicago, UW-Oshkosh, Minot State, Grinnell, and Platteville. The power forward has conducted a Zoom call with Grinnell.
Brandon Hall Brandon Hall 6'6" | PG Thornton | 2021 State IL (Team M.O.R.E. – 2021)
Hall is a powerfully built guard that gets downhill with strength. He doesn’t hold any offers, but is in communication with South Dakota State, Idaho State, Tulsa, New Hampshire, and Southern Illinois.
Sam Bradbury Sam Bradbury 6'8" | C Mattoon | 2022 State IL (Champaign Heat – 2022)
This wide bodied five man was super impressive over the weekend. He mauled on the glass and scored in the paint with efficiency. As for his early recruitment he said he has been talking with D1 schools Western Michigan, UIC, and Princeton. He has also heard from Blackburn College, and Illinois College.
Patrick Robinson (HIT – 2022)
Robinson is seeing his stock fly up the 2022 board. The 6’5” two guard told us the only school that is on him early is Arkansas Pine Bluff. That is going to change in a hurry for the Oswego East rising star.
Kai Rios (HIT – 2022)
This 6’8” five man is a three sport star that could play any of the three at the next level. A few D2 and small colleges have reached out for basketball, but nothing significant yet. One to watch as he could potentially develop into a low-major post.
Donovan Jones Donovan Jones 6'0" | PG Solorio | 2022 IL (Illinois Hoopstars – 2022)
Jones is among the top combo guards in the class. The scoring guard out of Solorio is actively hearing from Tulsa, Colorado State, and Valparaiso. Expect more schools to be jumping in the mix over the next few months.
David Hubbard David Hubbard 6'4" | SG Champaign Centennial | 2022 State IL (Champaign Heat – 2022)
Hubbard is a slick two guard that has elevated his stock with a strong couple outings on the PHC. He tells us that he has received interest from D1 to D3 schools. Some of the D1s that have expressed varying degrees of interest include Indiana State, Princeton, and Western Michigan.
