#HardWorkSZN Kickoff: WI/MN Standouts
Following Friday’s action I’ve assembled a brief list of prospects who showed promise on the opening day of the Prep Hoops Circuit.

WI
– Wisconsin Sharks – 2021:
I only watched him play a half of basketball, but it’s all he needed to establish himself as one of the best in the gym. The savvy forward picked on the defense of a talented Illinois Outlook team, even scoring the first 10 points for the Sharks. His shot stroke looked more comfortable and as the game progressed, while he used a strong upper body to overmatch the defense inside.
Kenyon Davis – Chapman Basketball Academy – 2023:
In the first game of the day, Davis made himself a standout by putting unrelenting pressure on the defense. In a fast-paced game he managed to outrun his opponents, kickstarting half-court offense with a cross-and-go move from the top of the key. Although there were a few turnovers his impact was noted and he was able to showcase quickness, agility, and craftiness.
Minnesota:
Molley Komara – Minnesota Chill – 2023:
Komara played exceptional in his first matchup. Although the roster says 6’4”, he looked closer to 6’6” with a thinner build and freakish length. He was disruptive on defense, logging a handful of blocks and steals, and finished with more efficiency around the rim then you would expect for a 2023 big. On top of that, he made smart moves on the block, flashing to the high post or cutting from block to block.

MN
– Minnesota Chill – 2023:
Bettis was at his best offensively in the second half, but his prospect potential was clear throughout. He stands at 6’3” with bulk and can pick up speed in transition. He offered a unique skill in bringing the ball up and making plays off the dribble. As he quickens his dribble and works on his outside shot, we may see him as a positionless piece on his high school roster.
Ruhan Jordan – MN Select – 2023:
Jordan played with exceptional vision and decision-making as a scorer. He made many snap-decisions when driving and was able to rack up a good amount of points. Jordan showed off a clean side step, reverse layup, and body control through contact. There’s potential for his game to blossom, and with his solid 6’1” frame I think it’s worthwhile to keep an eye on him.
