Brian Parzych Brian Parzych 6'2" | PG Wauwautosa East | 2021 State WI — PG — Wisconsin Swing 17U
Parzych doesn’t have multiple gears. He only plays at full speed. You will never see the Tosa East point guard not playing at 100 miles per hour. In Wisconsin Swing ‘s final win of the weekend against Team M.O.R.E, I really liked what I saw from Parzych. He was constantly pushing the ball in transition, which led to easy buckets for his teammates. He currently holds a scholarship offer from Northern Michigan, and if the guard plays well in future tournaments, more will surely come his way.
Tanner Resch Tanner Resch 6'0" | PG Hamilton | 2021 State WI — G — Wisconsin Swing 17U
This weekend, Resch proved that he is much more than just a spot-up shooter. Of course, the Sussex Hamilton standout still shot the ball well from long range, but he also did a good job running Swing’s offense, playing on-ball defense, and slashing to the hoop when the opportunity presented itself. The guard may not have the high ceiling that many of his peers have, but few players are as good as Resch when it matters most.
Julius Rollins — SF — Team M.O.R.E 17U
Last summer, Rollins was a star prospect for Y&R Brimm. At the #HardWorkSZN Kickoff, the small forward ran with Team M.O.R.E. I was able to catch his final game of the weekend and was very impressed. He wasn’t a huge factor in the first half of M.O.R.E’s loss to Wisconsin Swing , but he really stepped his play up in the second period. He was aggressive in attacking the rim, which put a lot of pressure on Swing’s defenders. Standing at 6-foot-6, Rollins has all of the physical tools necessary to succeed at the next level.
James Graham James Graham 6'9" | SF Nicolet | 2021 #59 Nation WI — SF — Wisconsin Playground Club 17U
Graham slowly got better and better throughout the weekend. On Saturday, he started off cold and appeared to be a bit rusty. But on Sunday, Graham was at his best. In Wisconsin Playground Club’s final win, the small forward dropped 22 points while displaying his versatility on offense. Graham’s size paired with his dribbling skills were just too much for MN Select. It is now very clear why the Nicolet star is regarded as the fastest rising prospect in the nation.
Cade Meyer Cade Meyer 6'8" | PF Monroe | 2021 State #237 Nation WI — PF — Wisconsin Playground Club 17U
I know that high major college coaches don’t just throw out scholarship offers to prospects that don’t deserve them, but at this point, it is hard to say that Meyer hasn’t earned one. The 6-foot-8 power forward can rebound, shoot, dribble, and cause a lot of problems for the opposing team in the paint. Oh, and he is also one of the best shot blockers in the state. On Sunday, MN Select could not handle Meyer around the hoop.
Jeffery Brazziel Jeffery Brazziel 6'4" | SF Martin Luther | 2022 #159 Nation AZ — SF — Wisconsin Playground Club 16U
An aggressive Brazziel is a very dangerous Brazziel. The 6-foot-5 small forward simply can’t be stopped when he is attacking the rim. He is too strong, too crafty, and too athletic. When Wisconsin Playground Club was struggling to make shots against SD Venom, it was Brazziel who was able to step up and get buckets. Even though he didn’t play in his sophomore season (WIAA transfer rules), this weekend Brazziel proved that he still has a firm grasp on the top spot in Wisconsin’s 2022 class.
Alex Singleton Alex Singleton 6'4" | PF Wauwatosa East | 2021 State WI — CF — ABC Young Lions 17U
Last AAU season, Singleton at times got outshined by players like Jayden Jackson Jayden Jackson 6'2" | SG Whitefish Bay | 2021 State WI and John Lovelace John Lovelace 6'4" | SF Brown Deer | 2021 State WI . That doesn’t look like it will be the case this summer. In ABC Young Lions’ last game, Singleton dropped 18 points and was a big reason why his team came away with the victory. The forward isn’t flashy and he isn’t the most exciting prospect to watch, but he gets the job done and always plays very hard.
