Demarcus Wesley (Illinois Hoopstars 15U)
Wesley is a 6’4” power forward with a long and athletic build where he should definitely continue growing moving forward. Extremely bouncy around the hoop as he showed blocking a ton of shots. Major rim protector already. Finished dump off passes and even drilled a mid-range pull up set up by some nice handles.
Davon Prude (Illinois Hoopstars 15U)
Prude is a Champaign Central 6’5” power forward that is another projectable prospect. He was extremely active on the defensive end as a shot blocker and rebounded well throughout the event.
George Bellevue (Illinois T-Wolves 15U)
This 6’4” power forward has a frame where he will continue to be able to grow height wise along with adding strength. Brought a ton of toughness to the table. Very good area rebounder that was quick to the offensive glass. Got out and ran the floor hard for scores. Showed a nice looking hook shot in the post as well.
Wesley Rubin (Chicago Lockdown 15U)
Rubin was sidelined Sunday with an injury, but as we mentioned previously with his brother Miles this 6’7” Homewood Flossmoor duo are super intriguing. Wesley is the more naturally skilled of the two brothers. He shoots right handed. Hit the glass hard and went toe to toe with Yalden who outweighed him by a significant amount. The rangy four man recorded 8 points and 7 rebounds for Lockdown. Lots of upside here!
KJ Cobb (Chicago Lockdown 15U)
Speaking of quality performances in that game against Wisconsin Playground this Hillcrest 6’0” combo guard recorded 12 points. Strong bodied guard that finishes with strength on powerful drives to the cup. Got to the rim pretty consistently in the games we saw going through his opponents. Slashing wing that flashed as a shooter.
Ryan Kenney (Chicago Lockdown 15U)
Kenney is a big bodied five man that rebounds well in his area boxing out his man. Got on the glass for put backs. Also showed he has some skill at a young age being a capable 15 foot shooter.
Mike Gardner (Illinois Hoopstars 15U)
Gardner is a 6’6” bouncy power forward that finishes well in tight spaces. Caught dump off passes and put them in. Quick to the glass with his second jump and showed he can be a quality shot blocker down the line.
