I spent most of my day following along with Nebraska based programs and prospects in the event but also dabbled in some out of state games as well. Here are some players who stood out to me throughout a busy Saturday in Omaha.
Cale Jacobsen Cale Jacobsen 6'3" | CG Ashland Greenwood | 2022 State NE – Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Ashland Greenwood
Jacobsen was all over the court for Supreme’s top 16U squad in both their games during the first day of action. In their first matchup with Beyond Ball 24K, he almost had a double-double in the first half alone. He finished that game with 24 points on 10-15 shooting, to go along with 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Supreme again won big in their second matchup of the day against PM South Showcase. Jacobsen was once again able to put his athleticism and craftiness with the basketball on full display, tallying 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. The highlight reel moment for Jacobsen came when the 6’3 guard was on the receiving end of a transition alley-oop from teammate Benny Hunzeker and finished with authority. Jacobsen is a smart and crafty combo guard who has all the tools to make an impact on every single game he’s a part of.

Sam Hastreiter Sam Hastreiter 6'6" | PF Lincoln Pius | 2022 State NE – Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Lincoln Pius X
Have a day Sam Hastreiter Sam Hastreiter 6'6" | PF Lincoln Pius | 2022 State NE . Multiple people have told me that he’s been a standout for Supreme so far this summer, I just hadn’t had the chance to see him in person yet. Now I know exactly why. Hastreiter was a force to be reckoned with offensively in both games, making a slew of 3 point baskets, passing the ball very well, and even getting up for some dunks as well. Hastrieter is a 6’6 forward with great athleticism, who is pretty under the radar in terms of 2022 prospects in the state of Nebraska, which I figure won’t last much longer. Coaches need to keep him in mind going into what should be a big junior season for him at Lincoln Pius X.

Isaac Traudt Isaac Traudt 6'9" | SF Grand Island | 2022 State #45 Nation NE – Lincoln Supreme National 16U/Grand Island
There’s a reason Isaac Traudt Isaac Traudt 6'9" | SF Grand Island | 2022 State #45 Nation NE picked up a laundry list of Power 5 conference offers this past week, and he reminded the crowds at UBT throughout Saturday just why that was the case. At 6’9, Traudt moves incredibly well for his size and makes the game look easy both on the perimeter and in the midrange game. He also posterized multiple opponents in his second game of the day against PM South Showcase.
Jevin Sullivan Jevin Sullivan 6'5" | SG North Polk | 2022 State IA – Beyond Ball 24K 16U/ North Polk (Iowa)
Beyond Ball took on Lincoln Supreme in their first pool play matchup of the day and Jevin Sullivan Jevin Sullivan 6'5" | SG North Polk | 2022 State IA really stood out. The 6’4 guard finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds, with his highlight-reel moment coming when he went baseline for a slam dunk finish. He shot the ball well from 3 and got to the rim as well.
Jackson Dudek- Wisconsin Crusaders 17U Adidas/ Kimberly (Wisconsin)
In one of the last games of the day, Wisconsin Crusaders took on Team RWA and Dudek immediately stood out when he scored 2 quick baskets for the Crusaders. Dudek is a tough 6’7 forward, who showcased his good post-up moves, as well as running the floor well. He finished with 17 points in 77-70 win for the Crusaders.
Dustin Beauprey Dustin Beauprey 6'3" | PG Mt Top Christian | 2021 State WI – Wisconsin Crusaders 17U Adidas/Mountain Top Christian (Wisconsin)
Beauprey is a crafty 6’3 guard, who’s great with the ball in his hands, while also being a very accurate passer. He’s got a quick release on his jump shot and was scoring from outside as well as off the bounce on the interior in the Crusaders’ matchup against Team RWA. Beauprey was one of the better pure bucket getters I saw throughout the day.
Pierce Bazil– Lincoln Supreme 17U National/Lincoln Northeast
One of my Nebraska 17Us to watch this weekend, Bazil who is usually a great offensive facilitator, was given a bigger scoring role with multiple teammates of his unable to suit up this weekend. In a double-overtime thriller against Illinois Hoop Stars, the 6’3 point guard tipped in his own miss at the buzzer to win it for Supreme. He finished the game with 22 points and 4 assists
