Sean Paige Sean Paige 6'8" | C Anderson | 2022 State IN (Team RWA)
The Willowbrook 6’9” center is a physically built post that has a very strong base. When he used that to his full advantage he was a problem at the event. There were a couple times where he would score several buckets in a couple minute span when he got the ball on the block, caught it with deep post position, and made a power move for the score. Really nice looking right handed hook shot that was his go to during the event. He did hit one three in the first game, but then started to drift to the perimeter too much. Paige is much more effective in the paint. Has the potential to develop into a solid shot blocker.
Eddie Barrett (Illinois Hoopstars)
This Marian Catholic shooting guard had a breakout game in our eyes on Saturday for Hoopstars North Williams 16U. Lanky guard that used his athleticism in transition, got to the foul line at a high rate, and showed upside as a shooter. Drilled a couple smooth jumpers including a slick step back.
Famious French (Illinois Hoopstars)
French is one of the more intriguing wing prospects that emerged on our radar over the last several weeks. The 6’6” three man is a very good defender getting steals and taking it the other way quickly in transition. Contests shots on the perimeter. Smooth athlete that makes plays in the open floor. Didn’t shoot it quite as well as in Indy, but still really liked what he brought to the table.
Christian Meeks Christian Meeks 6'6" | SF Homewood Flossmoor | 2022 State IL (Illinois Hoopstars)
You know Christian Meeks Christian Meeks 6'6" | SF Homewood Flossmoor | 2022 State IL is always going to bring the motor. The 6’6” power forward is one of the most intense players in the class with how he dominates the glass on both ends. His tenacity for rebounding jumps off the floor and is a skill that will translate to the next level. Put it on the deck more than we had seen the last few weeks attacking a couple times from the wings and pushing it in transition off a defensive board.
Ben Anderson ( Archangels )
This 6’7” center from Monmouth-Roseville High School is a broad shouldered 6’7” post. He has good size and broad shoulders. Nice looking hook shot and overall is pretty efficient with his touches on the block. Goes after rebounds aggressively in and out of his area.
Jabar Wheatley (The Work Foundation)
Wheatley is a power wing at 6’3” that can shoot it from mid-range and three especially pulling up. Mixes in a nice drive every now and then finishing through contact with his strength.
