Group 2 is filled with talented players, especially on the wing. Here are the top wings in Group 2.
Jerome Brewer, 6’6 SF Camden 2021
Wagner Jr. and Ware were the top players for the Panthers last season, while Brewer provides scoring on the perimeter. The lanky 6’6 forward has a good handle and knows how to finish around the basket. Brewer has a good release on his shot and can knock down shots from behind the arc. He is a good rebounder and a solid perimeter defender. Camden will be one of the top teams in New Jersey behind Wagner Jr. and Brewer.
Dominic Barlow, 6’5 SF Dumont 2021
Barlow was dominant all season long as he finished with 23 double-doubles, including three 20-20 games. The athletic swingman loves to finish above the rim and is one of the top finishers in the 2021 class. Barlow can shoot over his defender and is capable of putting up points in bunches as he had 10 games with at least 25 points. He is a tremendous rebounder and is also a good defender. Dumont will be looking to improve from its 19-8 record in 2019-20 with Barlow back for another season.
Toriano Munford Toriano Munford 6'5" | SF Lincoln | 2021 State NJ , 6’5 SF Lincoln 2021
The Lions were seconds away from making their second straight Central Jersey Group 2 final and they should be in contention to make it again. Munford has been a steady presence for Lincoln over the past two seasons and is one of the top players in Group 2. The 6’5 forward has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to finish through contact. Munford is a tough rebounder down low and is a solid post defender. Lincoln is ready for a strong 2020-21 season behind Munford’s presence down low.
Grant Holbrook Grant Holbrook 6'6" | SF Ramsey | 2021 State NJ , 6’5 SF Ramsey 2021
The Rams were one of the top teams in Group 2 last season, but they have to replace Cornell commit Sean Hansen Sean Hansen 6'8" | PF Ramsey | 2020 State NJ and Jaden Quinerly Jaden Quinerly 6'0" | PG Ramsey | 2020 State NJ . Holbrook is ready to take over the main scoring roles after a strong junior campaign. The 6’5 forward has a nice touch around the basket and can handle the ball on the perimeter. Holbrook is a solid post passer and has a nice release on his shot. Ramsey needs Holbrook to become a true top option for the Rams to compete for the North Jersey 1 Group 2 title again.
Ryan Smith Ryan Smith 6'5" | SF Robbinsville | 2021 State NJ , 6’4 SF Robbinsville 2021
Robbinsville had a remarkable turnaround season in 2019-20 as the Ravens won 20 games after winning only four the year before. Smith is the team’s go-to scorer after six games with at least 20 points. He is at his best attacking the basket and knows how to draw contact. Smith has a solid mid-range game and has shown the ability to shoot the ball from distance. Robbinsville was upset in the Central Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals, but the Ravens will be looking for a deeper postseason run with Smith returning.
