One Player To Watch: Owen Dease Owen Dease 6'7" | SF Evansville Reitz | 2021 State IN
Owen is a long, lean forward with enough skill and athleticism to play both the 3 and the 4 at the next level. He has really good size and good handles, but he hasn’t shown enough athleticism at the rim yet. If he can be more aggressive scoring the ball inside, it will take him to the next level. He can also knock down shots from the outside which makes him a tough matchup for most fours. He will be a player to watch this summer as he has a huge chance to raise his stock.
One Player We Need To See More: Joesph Phinisee Joesph Phinisee 6'0" | SG McCutcheon | 2021 State IN
Joseph is a long guard who has dealt with some injury issues throughout his high school year, but when he was healthy this high school season, he looked pretty good. He is more of a 2 guard, but he has enough speed and handling ability that he can beat almost anyone off the dribble. He hasn’t shown much out of his jumper, but for right now, he is much more of a driving threat on the court. We need to see if he can improve his jumper and stay healthy throughout the summer, but if he can do these things, his offers will be rolling in throughout his senior year.
One Player That Should Surprise: Ben Jones Ben Jones 6'2" | SG Andrean | 2021 State IN
Ben is a taller wing with natural scoring ability and a good upside. His offensive game is built more around creating in the open floor, but he has shown that he can knock down a shot or two. However, he needs to figure out how to mix that into his game in order to be a more well-rounded player. He has a bunch of upside that he hasn’t reached yet, so I fully expect him to surprise some people this summer with his polished skill set.
