One Player To Watch: Will Lovings-Watts Will Lovings-Watts 6'5" | SF Jeffersonville | 2022 State IN
Will is a long, rangy wing with a great build. He’s really good around the lane where his length and strength play up a bit. He has struggled at times with his jumper, but he has steadily improved on that over the past year. One aspect of his games that almost goes unnoticed is his rebounding ability. He uses his length and aggressiveness to crash the boards, especially on the offensive end. Over time, he is going to continue to develop, and he is going to be a player to watch for the next couple of years.
One Player We Need To See More: Nick Klaiber Nick Klaiber 6'1" | PG Bloomington North | 2022 State IN
Nick is a quick lead guard who always seems to be just a little bit faster than everybody else on the court. He’s a guy that can do a little bit of everything, but he really needs to fix his jumper. Right now, it is a little too much of a push shot, and it tends to be short or long way too often. However, he is great in the lane and has quite a bit of toughness. He always seems to finish the shot inside no matter how much contact he is given. If he can improve on his jumper to make it a little bit more consistent, he will be a well-rounded prospect to watch.
One Player That Should Surprise: Maxwell Sullivan Maxwell Sullivan 6'6" | PF Whiteland | 2022 State IN
Max looks more and more like a top-level wing each time we see him. He’s big and has a strong lower half, but he’s so adept at getting around and finding a way to be in the right spot on the court. When you pair that with his shooting, he makes sense at worst as a stretch forward. But, if he can show the ability to post up and use his body more in that regard where he’s such a difficult matchup, that might end up as his highest upside. If he can shoot like he did in the high school season and use his frame inside, he will definitely surprise some people this summer.
